The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) recap for Wednesday, May 12, reveals that Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) remembered Quinn Forrester’s (Rena Sofer) jacket from Carter Walton’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) bedroom, but Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards) took the heat. Let’s talk about all the tense scenes leading up to that epic moment.
At the Forrester mansion, Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) talked to Eric Forrester (John McCook) about Quinn. Eric admitted that Quinn was gone before he came down for breakfast this morning.
Eric teased Brooke and Ridge about meddling in his marriage, but Ridge said they’d back off if that’s what Eric wanted.
Brooke couldn’t promise that since Quinn was capable of hurting Eric more than she already had. Eric argued that he was the one doing the hurting, but he intended to fix it.
Talk turned to Zoe’s heartbreak over finding Carter with another woman. Eric was worried about Zoe, but he was glad she’d patched things up with Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) and would have her sister to lean on.
Brooke pointed out that some relationships were worth saving – others not so much.
Ridge was frustrated with Brooke for overstepping again, but Eric admitted that not all fairytales have happy endings. He felt Zoe was learning that tough lesson and feared she wouldn’t bounce back easily.
Ridge pointed out that Carter didn’t lead Zoe on and suggested the mystery woman could be anybody, but Brooke had a hunch about who she was.
Brooke saw Carter having coffee with a gorgeous new model named Shea, who was hired a couple weeks ago. Ridge insisted Shea was engaged, but Eric piped up that so was Carter not too long ago.
No matter who the mystery woman was, Ridge just hoped she didn’t come with a bunch of drama.
Brooke brought up Quinn’s portrait and how wrong it felt every time she looked at it. She also didn’t think Quinn was as committed to Eric as she wanted him to believe.
Ridge admitted Quinn was Quinn, but Eric pointed out that despite all Quinn’s faults – she’d always been faithful to him.
At Forrester Creations, Quinn pulled Shauna into the main office to reveal she nearly got caught cheating with Carter. Shauna was frustrated with Quinn over the repeat betrayal, but Quinn insisted it just sort of happened.
Quinn clarified that they weren’t able to actually do the deed due to Zoe’s interruption, so Shauna flipped out thinking Zoe caught Quinn and Carter in bed together.
Quinn assured Shauna that Zoe simply saw her clothes, but she felt terrible since Zoe left the loft in tears.
After Carter knocked, Quinn encouraged him to come in. Carter and Quinn battled more guilt about what had gone down, but Quinn felt he could make this right if he claimed it was a rebound. She thought Carter should act like this was a mistake and give Zoe another chance.
Quinn was adamant that they could never slip up again. Shauna felt she was in no position to judge, but she warned Carter and Quinn that they had to mean it when they said this could never happen again.
Both Quinn and Carter assured Shauna that they truly did mean it this time. Shauna pushed Carter and Quinn to stop beating themselves up since it was pointless.
Next on the Wednesday, May 12 episode of B&B, Paris was stunned over Zoe’s story about finding Carter with another woman. She couldn’t believe it and was so sorry.
Zoe talked about letting herself in using her old key and getting a big surprise when she entered Carter’s bedroom. She admitted she was heartbroken to see all the women’s clothes on the floor.
Zoe felt she was fooling herself thinking she could make Carter trust her again or that Quinn could make a difference when Zoe couldn’t. She suggested she should find Quinn to reveal that her worst nightmare had come true.
Back with Quinn, it suddenly dawned on her that Zoe could recognize her jacket as the same one from the floor of Carter’s bedroom. Carter urged Quinn to get rid of it before Zoe could see, but Zoe suddenly walked in. Zoe assumed Shauna, Quinn and Carter all knew about the other woman situation by now.
Quinn said she was so sorry and could see how much pain Zoe was in. Zoe felt she brought this on herself and blew her chance at happiness, but Quinn blurted out that this other woman meant absolutely nothing to Carter. That surprised Zoe, who wondered if Quinn knew who it was.
Quinn covered, but Zoe said she selfishly wanted to know who was taking her place in Carter’s life and in his bed. She ultimately saw Quinn’s jacket by the table and had a moment of realization since it was the same one from Carter’s bedroom floor.
Shauna said she should go and moved toward the jacket like it was her own. Zoe sought confirmation that it was Shauna’s jacket and wondered if she went to Carter’s place. “Are you the other woman in his life?” Zoe asked with a horrified look on her face.
