The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, May 19, reveals that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) scared Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) with a wild outburst – and Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) tipped Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) off to trouble at the cabin. Here’s how things played out on Wednesday’s drama-filled episode.
At the cabin, Liam woke Hope up with kisses and wanted to make sure this was real. Hope assured Liam that it was and felt last night was the first night of the rest of their lives.
However, Hope pointed out they couldn’t stay under the covers all day like Liam wanted. When Hope mentioned Bill, Liam thought back to Bill’s warnings to keep quiet and seemed uneasy.
Liam covered with Hope and suggested that he needed her to promise something. He didn’t know what the future would hold, but he pushed Hope to promise that she’d never forget how much he loved her.
At Forrester Creations, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) ranted at Deputy Chief Bradley Baker (Dan Martin) over the phone before Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) came in.
Thomas admitted he was frustrated over the lack of progress in the case, but Ridge felt confident they’d catch the person who mowed Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero) down and make that person pay.
Talk turned to Thomas’ fun pizza, ice cream and movie night with Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri). Thomas appreciated the distraction and felt it was good for Hope to have alone time with Liam, too.
Ridge seemed to doubt that Thomas was really OK with it, but Thomas repeated his “I just want Hope to be happy” mantra. Thomas was just concerned that Liam might break Hope’s heart again.
Although Thomas appreciated Ridge for caring, he seemed fed up with the conversation and announced that he needed a break. After Thomas stomped off, he wound up at the cabin and interrupted a lovey-dovey “Lope” moment.
Thomas came by to offer updates on Douglas hanging out at a friend’s house this morning, but Liam pointed out that Thomas could’ve just texted that news.
Thomas argued that he did, so Hope said that was her bad since her phone was on silent. After the conversation shifted to Vinny, Liam wanted Thomas to know he felt terrible about what happened and was really sorry.
Thomas was grateful and also wanted Liam to know they both wanted the same thing: Hope’s happiness and the kids’ happiness. He felt confident that Liam would feel the same way if the situation were reversed.
Thomas didn’t want to bring Liam and Hope’s day down any more than he already had, so he took off.
At Spencer Publications, Bill was deep in thought when Brooke arrived. She wondered if something was wrong, but Bill insisted he just had a lot on his mind.
Brooke wanted to fill Bill in on Liam and Hope’s reunion celebration last night. She felt like Hope and Liam had a wonderful future ahead of them.
That said, Brooke admitted that Hope had noticed a heaviness to Liam that he refused to open up about. Bill downplayed it since Liam had been on an emotional rollercoaster lately and tended to beat himself up over mistakes.
Brooke talked about Liam’s big heart and knew he would have a beautiful life with Hope. “I certainly hope so,” Bill said on Wednesday’s B&B episode.
When Brooke met up with Ridge, she told him about stopping by Bill’s office to talk about their children. Brooke felt Bill had been very supportive, but Ridge pointed out that Thomas was the one who’d been supportive.
Although Brooke was stuck on Thomas still loving Hope, Ridge argued that true love was putting someone else’s needs above your own. Brooke was just glad all the drama was finally behind Liam and Hope.
Back at the cabin, Hope knew there was something Liam felt he couldn’t talk to her about. She argued that she needed to know what was going on.
Bill called to warn Liam that he’d heard from Brooke about the heaviness Hope was sensing. He wanted his son to get it together and warned that Liam had better not say one word about what happened with Vinny.
Liam hung up on Bill, which led to Bill slamming his own phone down in frustration. After Hope demanded to know what the call was about, she reminded Liam that they promised no more secrets.
Liam confessed this wasn’t about Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and agreed Hope deserved the truth, but he was scared.
When Hope questioned what Liam was scared of, his anxiety exploded in a major outburst. “I’m scared of losing you! I’m scared…I’m scared that I’m going to be taken away from you and the kids forever…FOREVER!”
Hope had tears in her eyes as she insisted Liam wasn’t making sense. She shouted that Liam needed to tell what was going on. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Liam’s confession isn’t too far off, so keep watching!
