The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers review summary reveals that the week of March 15-19 brought some powerful moments on the CBS soap. Since B&B is preempted on Friday, March 19, let’s look at some highlights from this week’s episodes and consider where the show’s biggest storylines will go from here.
Of course, John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) mad dash to stop Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) from leaving LA brought some scenes to remember. Finn delivered a magical marriage proposal and ultimately revealed to Steffy that she was having his baby.
Now that Kelly Spencer (Avalon and Collette Gray) has been given updates on all the positive changes, Finn and Steffy are on solid ground to start their family – complete with this impending bundle of joy.
In a move that left plenty of B&B fans cheering, Steffy removed the giant portrait of herself with Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) to really seal the deal on moving forward with Finn. It felt like a huge deal when Steffy finally took that picture down.
Now Finn has some of his own pictures up with Steffy, so these two can truly look to the future. Does this mean Steffy is really done with Liam forever? Forever is an awfully long time on a soap, but it does feel like a turning point for Steffy. It’s doubtful The Bold and the Beautiful will let Steffy throw a good man like Finn away for waffling Liam again anytime soon!
Even Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) is struggling to keep any hope alive of a future with Liam. Hope pushed Liam for answers about whether he told Steffy he loved her the night they slept together.
Since Liam admitted he said “something like that,” Hope was rightfully livid with Liam for doing something so inappropriate.
Liam can’t keep playing the “she’s the mother of my child” card when he has a child with Hope, too. It’s good that Hope called Liam out on his selfish, waffling ways and his need to be adored.
It’s also high time for Liam to do some soul-searching and figure out what kind of man he’s going to be moving forward. No woman deserves the kind of treatment that Steffy and Liam have endured over the years.
However, Liam doesn’t seem ready to make the necessary changes since he’s still blaming Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) on some level. That’ll inevitably become important as this storyline continues.
Liam argued that Hope shouldn’t confuse obsession with loyalty, which is good advice – but it’s also not a great idea for Liam to be badmouthing Thomas when he’s got his own issues to tackle.
Perhaps loyalty is exactly what Hope needs right now, even if it means taking a risk on Thomas and the possibility that he’s still infatuated. At least Thomas loves Hope and only Hope!
Thomas genuinely seems to be on a better path, though Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) still has her doubts. Those doubts will cause friction in Brooke’s marriage to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), who’ll find new reasons to trust Thomas soon enough.
The more Thomas does to prove himself to Ridge and Hope, the more concerned Brooke will be that Thomas will get too close to her daughter. Hope herself will no doubt be on the receiving end of some warnings from Brooke eventually. It’s easy to see how Hope and Thomas’ growing bond is going to cause serious drama.
Hope and Liam will separate in the week ahead, so that could give Thomas some hope for the future. Despite Thomas’ attempts to keep his desires under control, there’s no denying that he loves Hope and would love to build a life together.
B&B viewers should see Thomas face an inner battle as this story heats up and gives him more opportunities to win Hope over.
The week of March 15-19 set some significant things in motion through the paternity news spreading, Steffy’s engagement to Finn and Hope’s marriage to Liam crashing fast.
