The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Kiara Barnes (Zoe Buckingham) will soon finish production on the CBS soap and prepare for her new role on Fox’s reboot of Fantasy Island. Since we know Barnes is headed off the show, we should think about what that means for her character.
For starters, will Zoe exit or be recast? Zoe’s not in a position where she’s particularly crucial to the canvas right now, so writing her out seems like the natural choice. It’s possible B&B will try to find a replacement, but The Bold and the Beautiful perhaps has other more preferable options.
They could use that airtime for a new character or as an opportunity to let a character on the backburner take center stage again. Whatever the case, it feels like we could be building to a stopping point for Zoe’s story on The Bold and the Beautiful.
If we assume Zoe will indeed exit along with her portrayer instead of being recast, we should consider how she might leave.
Zoe’s working hard to win Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) over – and she’s using Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) as a huge ally to help her. Of course, Carter seems far more drawn to Quinn than Zoe at this point!
If Carter ends up having a fling with Quinn instead of reuniting with Zoe, it’ll be a tough blow for Zoe and could help her see that Carter’s moving on. That could convince Zoe to move on as well.
Zoe might take a job at one of Forrester Creations’ international locations – or maybe she could find a new path entirely and leave the company behind.
Whatever the case, Zoe might determine that she needs some distance from Carter. Being around her former fiancé might be too difficult once Zoe realizes there’s no hope for their future together.
Of course, there are other options to consider if Zoe rages over Quinn’s betrayal and goes off the rails!
We might see Zoe go out with a bang by targeting Quinn before she departs. In that case, Zoe could land in prison depending on how far she takes things – or she could just leave LA after some vicious plot.
Either way, Zoe might deserve a good dose of vengeance if Quinn takes Carter for herself. No matter how Zoe handles the chaos ahead of her, her exit should mean more heartbreak.
