It’s the season finale of the “the Masked Singer”. The two finalists had one performance in honor of the holidays. The Bull performed “Holly Jolly Christmas”. He also dropped a spoiler and confessed that he wasn’t Dwayne the Rock Johnson. No one knew where Ken came up with that one but that was far off the point and so they had a little laugh about it. The Queen of Hearts also performed a holiday song.

She performed “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”. She once again blew everyone away with her soulful take of the classic and so guessing who was behind the masks was fun. They couldn’t tell who was who. Both finalists also discussed the many artists to be unmasked. The Bull was a huge fan of both Natasha Bedingfield and Faith Evans.

The Bull talked about how he was wowed by their performances. They were equal fan of his and Faith even said he could win it based on stage presence and drive alone. The Bull said his favorite performance of the season was the popular Paula Abdul song “Straight Up”. It was one in which everything came together. He has no regrets about that performance and that’s why it remains his favorite.

The Queen of Hearts on the other hand had loved Willie Robertson and his last performance was what stayed in her mind even today and the second performance was one from Banana Split. Katherine McPhee and her husband David Foster had been great together. They fed off each other’s energy and she loved watching the two of them work.

The Queen of Hearts’s favorite performance was “La Vie En Rose”. She doesn’t speak a word of French and so she had to write out the pronunciation of the words and she learned that if not a whole new language. It was her greatest performance. The judges had said it was the best performance out of the whole show and so that’s how she made it to the Grand Finale.

But another performance to stick out for Bull was when he performed “Drops of Jupiter”. He loved that one from Round 1. The Round 2 performance was the song “Circus”. He took a stance on the Britney Spears issue and was the only person on the stage to mention “Free Britney” during his performance. And so that won him fans.

The Queen of Hearts had loved her performance of “Born This Way”. She was happy about it and so was everyone else who got to watch it. It was pretty hard to stay still during a Lady Gaga song . Her Round 2 song was different. She performed Sia’s “Bird Set Free”. She got very emotional during this performance and she was actually crying under the mask during this song. All in all it left some truly considering if she was Sia or not and it got a standing ovation if nothing else.

The Queen of Hearts chose a whole bunch of songs that tested the limits of musical capability and that in which worked out for her. But who was she? She had to be a trained singer because there’s just no way someone who doesn’t typical sing could do all of those songs justice.

The Bull had his second performance of the night. He chose to perform the song “You Gotta Be” because he didn’t have a lot of role models growing up and he didn’t fit the typical mold. He wasn’t good at sports. He’d get emotional. He just never felt like he fit in and, while he’s made mistakes, he’s grateful for the people who stuck it out with him.

They were there to support him and now it was up to him to help usher in a new future for people like him. The judges had their guesses. They thought he could Neil Patrick Harris or Taye Diggs. Nicole said she figured out who was behind the mask but she didn’t want to reveal it just yet because she wanted the Golden Ear trophy. And next up was a performance from the Queen of Hearts.

The Queen of Hearts performed “What’s Going on” by Marvin Gaye. She chose the song because she moved away from home to pursue her singing career, it had been hard. Her car was stolen. She didn’t have a place to stay and was homeless. But the one thing she never did was tell anyone back home how bad it was. She wanted them to focus on the light and that made the judges suspect who she might be. Nicole thought she was Jewel.

There was still plenty of things to unpack when it came to the clues. The Bull was considered a possible boy bander because of his singing and dancing ability. The Queen of Hearts was also a professional singer. If it turns out she wasn’t, then everyone would be asking her to make a single. And later the Bull performed once again with a new song called “Invisible” by Hunter Hayes.

The Queen of Hearts discussed her son before her final performance. She said she wants her son to be proud of her and for him to be in a good place. Which wasn’t always possible when she was doing the best she could. But the Queen of Hearts chose the song “Firework”. It was a great Katy Perry song and it could be used quite humorously in a Seth Rogan film. Both the Queen of Hearts and the Bull had been amazing tonight.

They deserved their place in the Grand Finale. The winner of this season of “the Masked Singer” was revealed to be the Queen of Hearts. The Bull lost out and so he was the first to be unmasked. The judges’ first guesses were Lil Uzi Vert, Sisquo, Adam Lambert, and Todrick Hall.

In the end, the Bull was revealed to be Todrick Hall. Nicole had gotten it right once again and there was no stopping her this season. The judges also put in their guesses for Queen of Hearts. They were some that thought she was Jewel or Renee Zellweger. Three of the judges thought it was Jewel and funnily enough they were right. It was in fact Jewel under the Queen of Hearts’ mask.

THE END!
