In tonight’s The Rookie episode, Nolan’s stepbrother Pete comes to his door bleeding. He laughs after falling to the floor, wishing Nolan a happy halloween. He loves this time of year.
Lucy’s neighbor comes to her door. She is concerned about a fellow older neighbor being taken advantage of my ghost hunters who are charging her thousands to rid her apart of spirits. The next day, Lucy tells Angela who will look into it.
The Sarge and Tim prep the crew for a rough halloween day before they hit the streets. Harper and Nolan team up. Lucy and Tim also team up. Lucy vents. Her mom has paid to have her eggs frozen. She thinks she has no chance at love. A scared mom comes to them as they monitor kids celebrating Halloween at a community center. She cant find her child.
Nolan and Harper must restrain a woman who thinks she is a zombie in a local park. They restrain her. She has a seizure. They bring her to the hospital.
Lucy and Tim track down a dad who took home the wrong kid from the halloween party. The kids’ costumes were the same.
Angela visits the ghost hunters and threaten them for trying to con an old lady. They show her video footage of a ghost. Meanwhile, Pete admits to Nolan he ran away and came to visit because his grandmother is pregnant. Nolan is beside himself.
Lucy and Tim come across a person who thinks they are a zombie. The guy jumps on the hood of the cruiser, punching the glass. It looks like there is a drug causing people to act like this. They let the Sarge know. Later, when Nolan speaks with Pete about his situation the two realize Pete can help locate more information on this new designer drug.
Angela has done some homework. She tells Lucy about the history of her building to explain the ghost sighting. Lucy doesn’t believe in ghosts. Also, she thinks she got rid of the ghost hunters.
Harper goes trick or treating with her ex and daughter. Meanwhile, Lucy discovers an opening in the wall behind her bathroom mirror. She goes digging around in the walls with Tamara. Someone has been in the walls. They find some of their groceries back there.
Tim and Nolan prep Pete to make a drug buy while Harper spends more time with her ex while their daughter sleeps. Lucy makes her way through the secret walls when she peaks in to see the laundry room. There is a man with a knife about to attack their teen neighbor. She breaks through the wall and fights him with a broom stick.
Pete does the buy for Tim and Nolan while they sit in a nearby van. He scores a large amount. They then follow their drug dealer. It leads them to an abandoned movie theater with no back up since its Halloween. They come upon two people and arrest them. Suddenly Nolan is attacked by a guy who must have taken the drug because he thinks he is a zombie. He is forced to push him over the balcony. He then tries to attack Tim. They take him down.
Harper wakes up next to her ex in the morning. Angela checks on Lucy and Tamara who feel better now that their building is being checked out. Lucy thinks she will freeze her eggs after all.
Harper’s ex shares that he plans to propose to his girlfriend. Harper thinks this is great. They made a mistake. Meanwhile, Pete heads back home. He is going to be responsible and be a dad. His girlfriend shows up. He has a whole speech. She has discovered she isn’t pregnant. He is ready to party.
