In tonight’s The Voice, the episode begins with Carson Daly saying hello to the coaches, Blake Shelton, John Legend, Nick Jonas, and Kelly Clarkson. There is no time to waste tonight, they are going to get right into it and the time has come to reveal the very first finalist. Here is how it is going to work tonight, they are going to bring up each team at a time, the top vote-getter from each team advances to the finale and everyone else will be competing in our last instant save for the season. The saved artist will complete the final five.
Team Kelly is up first; Corey Ward, Gihanna Zoe, and Kenzie Wheeler. The artist who got the most votes and will be advancing is Kenzie Wheeler. It is not over yet for Corey and Gihanna, they will be performing tonight.
Team Legend is next; Pia Renee and Victor Solomon. Team Legend’s finalist is Victor Solomon. Pia still has a chance to win a spot in the finale.
Season 17 winner Jake Hoot is back on stage and performing, “I Would’ve Loved You,” with Kelly Clarkson.
Team Jonas is up on stage; Dana Monique and Rachel Mac. The artist with the most votes and advancing to next week’s finale is Rachel Mac. Dana is not finished, she goes backstage to get ready for her performance to win the instant save.
Australian rapper Masked Wolf performs remotely, “Astronaut In The Ocean.”
Our last team on stage is Team Blake; Cam Anthony and Jordan Matthew. The person on Blake’s team with the most votes and advancing to next week’s finale is Cam Anthony.
Pia Renee performs, “Everything I Wanted,” by Billie Eilish. John: “I love that you showcased a different part of your artistry today and I think you’ve shown America so much of what you can do, you’ve shown the core of who you are, the Reggae soul artist but also venturing and doing different things well. I love that rich bravado, the alto, was so gorgeous and thoughtful.”
Cory Ward performs “Iris,” by the Goo Goo Dolls. Kelly: “Oh my gosh, you pick great songs. I can’t wait to hear your record one day. I’m weeping with you, you wear your heart on your sleeve, I love that about you. I love your voice, how strong and powerful you are, both spectrums, you full chest voice, when you are tender and sweet and your falsetto.”
Dana Monique performs, “Caught Up In The Rapture,” by Anita Baker. Nick: “I think you are so brilliant, you have shown up every performance and brought you’re a game and I think you just absolutely have to stay in this competition. I think you are one of the best vocalists ever on this show and I mean that sincerely, your spirit is so lovely to be around. I want to be your coach one more week.”
Jordan Matthew Young performs, “Drift Away,” by Dobie Gray. Blake: “Ever since you auditioned I feel like you were born in the wrong decade, 1975, you bring that into your artistry and your sound. You don’t make it current, you make it then, that is what is so refreshing about you. I need this man in my life for one more week.”
Gihanna Zoe performs, “Someone You Loved,” by Lewis Capaldi. Kelly: “OMG that was amazing. You go places I don’t normally think of, it such an incredible talent you have to navigate all those runs that you have but you still keep it together towards no too much. And it flows, the fluidity of your voice, you are not 17, it is crazy that you are 17 and I am fortunate to have you on my team.”
The winner of the instant save is Jordan Matthew Young.
