In tonight’s The Walking Dead episode, Daryl, Carol, Maggie, and the others drop down from the ceiling into a large facility filled with appears to be the dead all sleeping. They pull supplies up with a rope. Someone gets cut. Blood drops down, waking one before waking them all. They fight their way to safety after help from above as some of them are surrounded on the floor. Carol makes a last-minute move to get additional supplies after she and Maggie are forced to break out the guns. She is pulled to safety.
The gang heads back to camp at Alexandria where there are now several commercials altogether. Maggie still hasn’t forgiven Negan who is there. They all talk. They need food. Maggie knows a place called Meridian. One of the members tells her that was the place is a no-go. Maggie knows the men who overtook Meridian. They killed her people. She wants to go back and get all of the food. But they need to take out the enemy. Some of them are scared and think it is a bad idea. Daryl is in.
A group of them goes out on a mission. Negan goes. Maggie has an attitude. A storm comes. He thinks they should wait it out. She doesn’t care. They keep going. They hear noises as they walk a tunnel. Negan warns them that this place looks like it fills with water. Daryl tells him to stop trying to run the mission.
Ezekiel, Eugene, and the others are still being held by a strange group. They are subjected to a series of interviews with very special questions about their habits, education, and where their settlement is. Seven hours later, Ezekiel gets angry. He starts to choke. He is offered water. He drinks it all.
Later, she is allowed to see Yumiko, Steph, and Eugene. He tells them what happened. It appears Ezekiel is hiding more than a dry cough. They talk to a couple a room over who mentions something about reprocessing. They don’t know how long they have been there. Guards come in and take them away.
Maggie and the gang come upon a mass grave with bodies all bagged up now turned it, zombies. They kill them all to put them out of their misery. Negan saves one member from being attacked. Negan has had enough. He wants to know what the hell they are doing. He doesn’t like that Maggie is the only one calling the shots. He also knows he was brought so she could kill him. She tells him she wants to but that isn’t the plan right now. Their kids are starving. And she was voted to lead.
Still, at the enemy’s camp being held hostage, Eugene and the others talk about how to get free and what they should do. Princess is in her own world but shares some insights into her observations that help them figure out what is going on and shift schedules. Yumiko starts to act strange, however. It seems she may have found her brother.
Back in the tunnel, zombies come out of nowhere, walking. The gang must run to safety with little places to hide. Maggie tries to climb a wall. Negan is already above safe. She screams for help. He leaves her to fend for herself.
