The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) may set a trap for Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) as part of a risky plan to save Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). Will Abby’s ex finally incriminate himself?
Stitch has been acting kind and supportive throughout this Mariah crisis, but there’s obviously more to the story.
Y&R didn’t bring back random Stitch just so he could be helpful. Mariah’s got a whole posse for that, so Stitch’s return is about serving another purpose.
We also can’t forget Stitch’s lie about scoring the chief of surgery job. Stitch made up a cover story after he got caught in that lie, but we don’t buy it for a second.
It turns out Stitch will also come through with info about a man at a convenience store who purchased a ton of protein bars – the exact same brand Mariah typically eats.
Doesn’t that seem like something awfully weird for Stitch to remember and put together? What’s this shady doc’s angle?
It’s important to keep in mind that Y&R rarely does complicated mysteries. They tend to be pretty straightforward – meaning if someone looks guilty, he or she probably is.
Stitch came back all somber over Abby’s old miscarriage and literally stalked Mariah through the window. We know Stitch is struggling to deal with Max Rayburn’s (Jared Breeze) decline as well.
Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) pointed out the kidnapper might desperately want a child – and the show’s been playing up Stitch’s sadness over his son from the get-go.
Since Stitch certainly seems like the one who snatched Mariah, it’s just a matter of the characters figuring it out. That brings us to Abby’s upcoming plan.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Abby will realize she needs to take charge of a situation. We’ll see that play out right as Rey nails down the location of Mariah’s phone with Kevin Fisher’s (Greg Rikaart) assistance.
All the clues are going to collide as we build to the big reveal, but it sounds like Abby will somehow solve the puzzle and determine that Stitch may be the snatcher.
Abby will put her new plot in motion, so that might involve tricking Stitch somehow. She might pretend to want Stitch back and even act like she wants to raise this child together.
Abby will likely try to trap Stitch into confessing and pointing her in the direction of Mariah. As for the phone signal Kevin unblocks, that may lead Rey to Stitch, too.
The jig will soon be up, so it’ll be interesting to see how it all plays out! As other news comes in, we’ll pass along updates.
Mariah’s about to go into labor and give birth, so that’ll raise the stakes as this storyline reaches its climax.
