The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Adam Newman Special Redemption Episode Preview – Chess Game Reveals Fate & Future

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that a special Adam Newman episode’s coming up on Thursday, May 13 and we have the preview. The Thursday episode will center around Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) shot at redemption. In this special standalone show, Adam will be the focus.

Adam’s relationship with his father will be a huge factor, so Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) role in this special episode will be significant. Y&R’s weekly preview video offers a glimpse of the chess match that’ll change Adam’s life. As Adam dreams of a game that’ll determine his destiny, Victor will explain what’s at stake.

“Since when do you and I play by the rules?” Adam asks Victor as they sit at the chessboard. “You are the master of your own fate,” Victor says next. “Whatever choices you make now will determine your future.”

This Young and the Restless episode should be in black and white for the most part, so that should give it a film noir feel and add to the vibe Y&R’s going for.

There’ll be appearances from other major characters along the way – like Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), who’ll advise Adam to start thinking about the game differently or else he’ll end up with nothing.

Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will also pop up to taunt Adam with her own push for power. As Adam faces off with old rivals, The Young and the Restless spoilers say he may have to decide that redemption is more important than revenge.

There’ll be some symbolism in this special as characters become versions of pieces on the chessboard – like Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) as the knight and a couple of crucial queens.

Adam will have to determine whether Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) or Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) is the queen of his heart.

Of course, Adam recently admitted that Sharon would always be part of him. We’ll see Sharon as the white queen – like an angelic savior for Adam as he moves down this redemptive path.

Look for appearances from Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) in this Young and the Restless episode as well.

Nick’s belief in Adam will actually be a big part of how Adam’s able to turn his back on his wicked ways and move forward.

Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) is set to make a daring move in this standalone show, so we’ll see if that happens in the dream or perhaps once Adam finally awakens.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say this special episode will bring a crossroads for Adam as he reevaluates his life and choices. Y&R fans can expect Adam to pick the right path this time, but just how long can he stay on it? As other news pops up, we’ll deliver more updates.

It sounds like a fantastic show’s in store for fans, so don’t miss all the action on Thursday, May 13. CDL will have other hot Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news for you, so drop by frequently.
