The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) may slam innocent Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) over a Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) betrayal that didn’t even happen. Will Adam’s wrong assumptions lead to a huge setback and bring a romantic crossroads?
Y&R fans know there’s been a constant push and pull between these two lately. Sally keeps thinking she’s made progress with Adam – only to have him be short with her or simply act uninterested.
Adam was quite sweet to Sally when he pumped the brakes on their hookup in Tuscany. He let Sally down gently since he just wasn’t ready to go all in with someone.
That left Sally hopeful that perhaps Adam would indeed be ready someday and that he’d choose her to pursue a future with.
Unfortunately, Sally may wonder if that’s even a good idea after Adam’s next move. On top of the hot-and-cold thing they’re already doing, it looks like Adam may rip into Sally for something she didn’t do.
Adam witnesses Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) seeking Jesse Gaines (Jamison Jones) info from Sally on the October 26 episode and doesn’t look happy about the clandestine meeting.
However, it’s not Sally’s fault that Billy is obsessed with destroying Adam – and she shouldn’t be blamed for who sits down in front of her on the Crimson Lights patio.
Adam is probably going to confront Sally and wonder if everyone was right to claim she couldn’t be trusted. He’s sensitive when it comes to Billy and may question if Sally’s serving as some sort of double agent.
Adam might fear Sally took his rejection to heart and is seeking some sort of twisted revenge as a result.
Of course, accusations like this are going to be hurtful since Sally thought Adam was different. Sally likes to think of them as kindred spirits who have been fighting for another chance.
Having Adam doubt her loyalty would break Sally’s heart and infuriate her since she’s worked so hard for Newman Media.
This could cause Sally and Adam’s romance to take yet another step backwards. It might bring a crossroads where Sally has to decide whether Adam is worth waiting around for.
Once the non-betrayal situation gets cleared up, there could be some big decisions on both sides.
This is the kind of thing that might convince Adam to go all in and keep Sally, but it could also open the door to other options if Adam and Sally can’t make it work.
Will Sally end up in Adam’s bed or perhaps in someone else’s for comfort?
