The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) isn’t getting better. In fact, her stubborn belief, that there’s nothing wrong, is further proof that this poor soul is not healing.
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) visited the mother of his first-born son recently. Their exchange included comments about Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) coming home from school shortly.
Sadly, his mother won’t be waiting at the penthouse for him or returning there anytime soon.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Genesis Of Issue Is Adam Newman’s Fault
Chelsea saw something that she shouldn’t have. Adam was not mentally balanced during that time in the plot. He was planning to lure his Newman family members to the executive suite inside Newman Towers and then topple the building.
Thankfully Chelsea saw the schematics on his laptop. While that event led to him ordering her abduction, it also served to eventually restore his sanity.
Adam didn’t follow through on his diabolical plot that would have likely killed his father, stepmother, and siblings.
However, Chelsea’s abduction, by a goon (Matt Katrosar) Adam hired, who was played by Egan’s real life husband, was followed by her debilitating stroke.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Sharon Rosales’ Complicity Can’t Be Discounted
Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) is a certified counselor. Professional ethics should have caused her to reject Adam’s plea that she become involved in Chelsea’s rehabilitation. But that didn’t happen and Chelsea basically went mad.
Adam’s idea was as well-intended as any of his triangulated thoughts have been through the years. He truly believed that Chelsea simply needed a forceful push and that Sharon, being her nemesis, was uniquely qualified to do so.
Chelsea became infuriated as a result and her mind broke. Chelsea targeted Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) in revenge for Adam and Sharon’s perceived reunion plans being rubbed in her face.
Shadam wasn’t on the table, but Chelsea was convinced otherwise and poisoned Rey in retaliation.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Summer Nearing Rock Bottom
Chelsea’s actions forced her to later accept Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) offer to plead guilty to Rey and Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc), in order to avoid jail time.
But that compromise meant accepting confinement in a mental health ward, while a doctor and an attorney on Victor’s payroll handled the hard result.
Chelsea’s dark dreams affirm the sheer fear she’s confronting. Chadam isn’t desired, she can’t see Connor, and Victor is calling the shots indefinitely.
But Chelsea should count on Adam to be there for their son. She knows that he is a good father. Hopefully Chelsea will realize that her problems are serious and can be addressed in the environment where she’s been forced to live.
