The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will soon be on a collision course with the truth. Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) feels like he dodged a bullet now that Ashland and Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) have headed back to New York.
It was awkward for Kyle to keep running into the Lockes around town – and it certainly left him nervous about what Ashland might find out.
Summer Newman (Hunter King) assured Kyle that Ashland didn’t suspect anything, but The Young and the Restless spoilers say that that’s obviously not the case. Ashland offered up plenty of suspicious looks – especially when he saw Tara lashing out at Kyle in The Grand Phoenix lobby.
There was also that moment where Ashland talked about how crucial it was to size up the competition, figure out what they’re hiding and what they’re terrified of losing. It felt like Ashland was onto Kyle in some capacity, though he doesn’t have the exact details just yet.
Y&R fans should examine this from Ashland’s perspective. Ashland knows Kyle sowed some “wild oats” in New York a few years back based on Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) comment.
Ashland also knows Tara’s on edge around Kyle – and he knows Tara cheated on him around the time Kyle was in New York.
Ashland is a smart guy and should at least be able to determine that Kyle was the man Tara cheated with. From there, it’s not going to be hard for Ashland to figure out that Harrison Locke might be Kyle’s son.
The timing alone should be suspicious, but Ashland might also take a closer look at Harrison’s features and determine this kid looks an awful lot like Kyle.
Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) suggested that Harrison had Kyle’s dimples, which might’ve just been a way to mess with Kyle or it might’ve been the truth. If it was the latter, that could be something Ashland notices now that he knows to look!
Perhaps Ashland will suspect Harrison may not be his biological son and confront Tara. If Ashland can’t pry the truth out of his wife, he could always run his own secret paternity test and get the confirmation himself.
By the time Ashland returns to Genoa City, he may be armed with new DNA results and make it his mission to destroy Kyle’s life.
