The Young and the Restless spoilers document that the recent scare Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) endured may not result in Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) returning to town. Chance’s call to Abby followed news that an agent had been killed. But his voice increased as the newlyweds spoke and then the connection dropped.
Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) came to talk with Abby and Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) at the Chancellor mansion. But Chris’ subsequent conversation with a contact didn’t produce worthwhile intel about Chance.
Now, after a mysterious figure appeared near Abby while she was sleeping on the sofa, teasers indicate that Abby’s first and only other husband, Doctor Ben Stitch Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) could be returning to Genoa City, Wisconsin, which would be quite the twist.

So much happens on the soaps, which is why dialogue or classic scenes are offered to refresh viewers memories or inform newer viewers about former characters who return.
As for Stabby, they formed after Ben was involved with Abby and her mother, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson).
Ben and Abby eventually married, in what became her only mature relationship until Chance literally dropped into her life. Stitch’s only other love interest was Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
Carrigan joined Y&R’s cast in 2013. Stitch was Dylan McAvoy’s (Steve Burton) best friend, who came to GC.
Stitch’s mother is Maureen Russell (Meredith Baxter), who killed his father, with Ben (who’s real last name is Russell) assuming responsibility for that crime. His sister was the late Kelly Andrews (as last played by Cady McClain), who became obsessed with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).

Max Rayburn (Jared Breeze) is Ben’s son through the late Jenna Kieran (Stephanie Lemelin). Breeze’ character did not take to Abby. His mental disturbance created many misdeeds, including one that was tragic.
Abby was pregnant with Stitch’s child. She was coming down the stairs at the GC Athletic Club and tripped over string that Max used to trip her. Abby lost the baby as a result.
Abby and Chance spoke about her miscarriage as the reason why she wasn’t able to conceive or offer eggs. The loss of Abby and Stitch’s baby led to Ordway’s character eventually telling Stitch that she didn’t love him.
They split after that unexpected reveal. Carrigan’s character was written out of the show shortly thereafter in 2017.

Boaz sudden departure from the cast remains a head-scratcher. However, the actor’s public comments following his exit were interesting. He said TPTB told him that his character wasn’t being killed off and Chance wasn’t being recast.
Fans don’t know why the likable Boaz didn’t have his contract renewed. But they are still wondering how long Abby is going to remain in limbo, with the baby storyline, that includes Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) seeming to be plot filler.
If what Boaz was told is true, then Carrigan rejoining the cast makes sense. He, like Boaz, is a solid actor. So, his return would be welcome.
Stitch’s revival would also setup the potential for a reunion with Abby, despite her earlier tell about not being in love. Of course, that would assume that Chance won’t return and that Chabs ends in the future.
