The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) may blow up Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) son scandal with a hot story. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) seems poised to fight back over their family’s exploitation, so let’s talk about how all this might play out.
Y&R fans know Jack warned Billy that it’d be better to stay out of Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) drama. However, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) argued that when it came to Ashland’s divorce, it was a major story that they had every right to cover.
Billy is now in the loop on Tara Locke’s (Elizabeth Leiner) adultery, so he’s on the verge of cracking the case and no doubt wanting to spread it to the public. After all, the Abbotts can’t hide the truth forever. Jack wants Harrison to feel like a true Abbott, not some shameful secret.
Harrison is part of the family now, so that means Kyle will need to make some sort of formal statement and explain things. Now that Kyle has paternity proof, he’ll have to nail down what his rights are and prepare for the looming custody battle.
That custody battle is sure to turn into quite the public spectacle, so Kyle really needs to get ahead of this crisis and do some damage control. Kyle is the co-CEO of Jabot, so he’s a pretty big deal in the business world.
This is a story that everyone will be talking about, so it’s easy to see why Billy would want to run it and get those hits!
Nevertheless, things are going to be complicated since Billy is an Abbott as well. If Billy runs a story that plays up the scandal of it all or could hurt Kyle in some way, it may lead to trouble!
On June 7, The Young and the Restless spoilers say a shouting match will indeed break out between Jack and Billy.
A war between these brothers is brewing, so Lily will feel the need to step up and intervene. Lily will hope there’s a path to peace, but it may be tough to find it if Billy’s putting ChancComm’s needs above those of his family.
Jack may feel like Billy’s betraying the Abbott clan if he doesn’t agree with the story Billy puts out.
Whatever the case, Jack and Billy are indeed set to face off – and Lily will get caught in the middle of the conflict. It makes sense that Kyle and his paternity scandal will be at the center of the hostility. We’ll provide updates as other Y&R news rolls in.
