The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will continue to deny the obvious – at least when it comes to her conversations with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Victoria knows how much Victor hates “Billy Boy,” so it’s probably wise to deny wanting to reunite with her ex.
However, Y&R fans can see that Victoria clearly wants Billy back. Victoria still loves Billy and has admitted it to his face. She’s also taken many opportunities to use their kids to pull Billy closer – and lately, Victoria’s been trying to use business to do it, too.
Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) recently warned Victoria about her love saga with Billy being over, but Victoria offered a warning in return.
Since Victoria believes Billy is a gambler at heart, she made it clear that Billy could jeopardize everything he built with Lily at any moment. That goes for what they’ve built both personally and professionally.
Lily was visibly rattled – and that’s probably because she knows Victoria is right deep down. Likewise, Lily knows the power of old flames and how easy it can be to inch back together until a spark reignites into something meaningful.
There’s no denying that Y&R’s been more willing to let people cheat in recent months. It seems like the writing team finally woke up and realized bad behavior is encouraged on a soap. These people have to make mistakes and bed hop or else what’s the point?
There’s no entertainment in watching boring couples stay loyal and work through their problems. We need cheating and epic fights! The Young and the Restless has been a little better about bringing the drama in the betrayal department.
Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) has cheated and done some sneaking around – all due to the powerful connection he still felt with his ex, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy).
Similarly, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) has trouble staying away from Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and has been helping him despite the Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) poisoning accusations.
Billy and Victoria could also wind up being pulled back together as former flames. Although Billy’s settled down perhaps more than any other time in his life, Victoria’s right about him being a risk-taker.
That’s who Billy is at the core, so Lily isn’t going to magically change that. How long until one of Billy and Lily’s confrontations leaves their relationship truly vulnerable?
Victoria seems ready to pounce, so it’s easy to imagine Billy landing back in bed with Victoria at some point.
Billy may indeed jeopardize everything and gamble with the good thing he’s got going – just as Victoria predicted. Will Billy cheat on Lily with Victoria? Will Billy eventually self-sabotage like he’s done so many times in the past?
