The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) could find himself on quite the emotional rollercoaster. Y&R fans know Billy was disappointed after Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) had the winning Cyaxares pitch.
Billy really wanted to come out on top – not just because Cyaxares was an excellent acquisition, but because he’s a huge target now.
Billy realizes Victor and Adam will be coming for him, so he’s concerned about Cyaxares being a loaded weapon. If it affects Billy and Chancellor Communications, then it affects Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), too.
It’s easy to see why Billy’s fearful about the consequences of Ashland’s decision, but he could experience a sudden stroke of luck.
The contracts haven’t been signed yet and Adam’s about to be accused of poisoning one of the Genoa City Police Department’s finest detectives! After Adam’s blamed for Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) attempted murder, Billy may feel like he’s getting the last laugh.
Ashland could yank the deal away from Adam and Victor before handing Cyaxares over to Billy and Lily instead.
Once Billy’s feeling all powerful, he could make another move to twist the knife for his enemy. That exposé on Adam did huge numbers for ChancComm. There’s no doubt that another scathing story on Adam targeting his former flame’s new husband would be a hit.
Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will eventually accuse Adam as well, so she might even be angry enough to go on record.
Regardless, Billy may insist on publishing another article on what a total monster Adam is – and he’ll have new “proof” to back him up through all the evidence Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will be responsible for.
Billy may convince the public that Adam is guiltier than ever and doesn’t belong on the streets!
Since Rey will fully believe Adam is to blame, The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that Billy may think this story is a risk-free slam dunk. Detective Rosales will have solved his own case in Billy’s opinion.
Even if Billy doesn’t end up with Cyaxares, this is certainly an article that he’ll be tempted to publish.
Lily might even give her approval since this will be such a huge deal and Adam will seem so guilty on the surface. Of course, there could be major problems down the road since Chelsea is seemingly responsible. Chelsea obviously had some help, but the point is Adam is innocent.
That could mean Billy and Lily will be opening themselves up to massive lawsuits. Victor may reach into the deepest of pockets to pay his lawyers and retaliate.
This could be Adam and Victor’s payback when the time is right, so Lily and Billy had better be wary. Billy’s decision to publish this story could cost him millions and wipe ChancComm off the map!
