The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) could vanish with kidnapped Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) after plotting her escape. Could that be how Melissa Claire Egan’s maternity leave will be explained?
Egan is expecting a baby boy at the end of August, so we should consider how this Y&R actress will exit for her maternity leave. Although Chelsea will do her best to fake being normal and get out of her psychiatric facility legitimately, that plan will take too long for her taste.
That’s especially true since Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) is coming home from boarding school soon and should be moving to the ranch with Adam Newman (Judah Mackey).
From Chelsea’s unhinged perspective, she thinks Adam and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) are going to tighten their grip on Connor.
Chelsea doesn’t want Adam turning their son against her and feels confident that’ll happen if she doesn’t intervene. Adam wouldn’t actually stoop so low, but Chelsea is out of her mind and will feel the need to take drastic action.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea will do some scheming during the week of July 5-9. It turns out Chelsea will indeed plot a getaway attempt, so she’ll set the stage for her escape and no doubt plan to flee with Connor.
Of course, it’s possible Chelsea will get caught before she has a chance to take things that far, but it’s also possible the pieces are falling into place for Melissa Claire Egan’s maternity leave.
It’ll take some time for Chelsea to work out the details of this plot, but she’ll be committed to making it happen.
Chelsea may eventually find some way out of the building and then plan to swipe Connor from the ranch once he’s there. If Chelsea and Connor disappear, that could bring another reason for Victor and Adam to team up.
They could have plenty of investigators and minions looking into this during the few weeks Egan’s off for her maternity leave.
Once Egan’s ready to work again, there could be some tip that sends Adam off to reclaim his son and help recapture Chelsea. It’d be a great story that’d work well under the circumstances, so we’ll see if that’s how things play out.
