The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) could find herself in hot water if Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) digs too deep.
Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) made a deal with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), which involves faking post-stroke psychosis and scoring an easy psychiatric facility stint instead of prison.
With Dr. Hedges (Michael Bofshever) on Victor’s payroll, everything will be legit. Chelsea’s mental evaluation should hold up in court and will seem reasonable due to her health crisis.
Of course, Chloe doesn’t have a stroke or brain trauma to blame! Despite Chelsea’s efforts to keep her bestie out of trouble, Chloe could indeed land in some of it.
Chloe was the one who actually planted the trinkets in Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) car despite Chelsea’s claims.
Chloe also unknowingly picked up the thallium from Adam’s P.O. box for Chelsea – not to mention Chloe’s known Chelsea was behind the poisoning for quite some time.
Chloe chose to keep that a secret and continued to help Chelsea, so she should face Rey’s demand for the real story.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) will rush to Chloe’s defense during the week of May 17-21. It’s reasonable to assume Kevin will be defending Chloe in connection to this case.
Chloe will likely be in panic mode once Rey puts her through another interrogation.
Once Rey and DA Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) start asking too many questions, Kevin may act like Chloe would never jeopardize their family by assisting Chelsea with any criminal behavior.
Chloe might tell Kevin what really happened, but he could do his best to cover for her next week on The Young and the Restless.
Naturally, whether Chloe actually gets punished or not depends on whether there’s any proof against her. Right now, there doesn’t seem to be evidence that could lead to Chloe landing behind bars. Chloe may simply wind up sweating it out over a close call.
By the end of all this, Chloe will hopefully swear off secret plots like this and just leave Adam alone!
The Young and the Restless fans know Chloe would be better off focusing on her family and avoiding the threat of prison from now on. As other Y&R news emerges, we’ll bring you updates.
