The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Friday, April 23 Recap – Ashland’s Pacemaker – Billy with Victoria, Blows Off Lily's Date

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, April 23, teases that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will discuss more phony code violations that were arranged by Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi).

Too many factories have been shut down – and Ashland will be causing trouble internationally as well.

Jack will hate to admit it, but he’ll worry that Ashland may be the only one who can stop this and undo the damage. After Jack leaves Ashland a voicemail asking how they can rectify this, Kyle will try to help Jack find a solution.

Kyle will point out that they have three factories that are still up and running. Although keeping those going 24-7 will prove costly, Jack will suggest it’s a start.

Kyle will also think maybe they can find temporary factories nearby – perhaps ones that are already set up for cosmetics production. Jack won’t think their competitors will be willing to help, so Kyle will suggest using some Brash and Sassy locations as well as some My Beauty sites in Europe.

This could damage the other brands, but Jack will think it’s their best option under the circumstances.

At the ranch, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will assure Ashland that he’s dialed 911 and all he has to do is press send once the contract is signed. Ashland will rant about Victor risking his life, but Victor will push Ashland to “sign the damn thing.”

Ashland will struggle in pain as he tries to put down his signature – and then Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will look horrified once she comes in and realizes what’s going on.

Nikki will insist that Ashland needs a doctor, but Victor will make Ashland sign before Nikki calls for paramedics.

As Ashland is wheeled out, Nikki will promise to call his wife for him. After Nikki’s alone with Victor, she’ll shout that she can’t believe what she just witnessed.

Nikki will be appalled over Victor forcing Ashland to sign papers in the middle of a heart attack. She’ll argue that Ashland could’ve died and will ask if a media company was really worth risking a man’s life for.

Victor will defend his actions since he did this for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and his future. Nikki will think it’s more like Victor was using Ashland’s heart attack to steal the company away from Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).

At Crimson Lights, Victoria will continue her voicemail for Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and will thank him for the flowers he sent. However, Victoria will admit the celebration may have been premature. She’ll add that Ashland may be trying to play all of them.

Over with Billy at ChancComm, he’ll grumble to Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) about the missed Cyaxares opportunity. Lily will want a proper date where they get all dressed up. She’ll plan to help Billy work through the loss and will promise to dazzle him.

At The Grand Phoenix, Summer Newman (Hunter King) will corner Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) to insist that her husband has to be stopped. Summer will rant about Ashland’s Jabot sabotage and think Tara surely must have some sway.

Tara just won’t believe there’s anything she can do. She’ll argue that Kyle can’t win this fight and that everyone he cares about is in jeopardy. In fact, Tara will warn that it may already be too late. She’ll urge Summer to convince Kyle to stay away from Ashland and will insist they’re on the same side.

Summer will get why Kyle wants to protect his family business and legacy, but Tara will counter that nobody has more at stake than her. She could lose her husband and son over all this.

Tara will note that she’s devoted to Harrison Locke and her marriage, but she just won’t have control over the Jabot situation.

Suddenly, a call will come in from Nikki about Ashland being in the hospital following what seemed to be a heart attack. Tara will ask about the name of the hospital and dash out right as Billy arrives.

Billy will quiz Summer, but she’ll have other things to worry about. Summer will head back to Jabot, where she’ll tell Jack and Kyle that she thinks Ashland is in the hospital.

At Society on Friday’s Y&R episode, Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) will compliment Lily on her dress and promise the special menu Lily picked out is all set. Lily will hope that tonight might cheer Billy up since he’s been having a hard time.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Devon Hamilton (Devon Hamilton) will arrive, so he’ll catch up with Lily by the bar.

Lily will gush over Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) pregnancy and Devon’s role in helping Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) become a mom. Devon will admit he’s going to remain involved and will have a unique relationship with this child.

Talk will turn to Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), so Devon will mention that he scored another shot with her. Lily will think it’s great that they both have special people in their lives, so Devon will crack a joke about how he’s glad Lily and Billy haven’t gone down in flames yet.

Devon will allude to Billy’s track record and suggest Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) can keep an eye on Billy during his Ask MD Now internship.

Back at the coffeehouse, Nikki will give Victoria updates on Ashland’s heart attack along with Victor sealing the deal before 911 was called.

Nikki will admit she’s tried to understand Victor’s perspective when it comes to Adam, but she can’t make excuses for her husband anymore. She’ll note that Victor has gone to extremes like that in the past, but it was because he was backed into a corner.

Nikki will argue that today was different since Victor doesn’t even need Cyaxares. This is all about securing Adam’s future.

Victoria won’t even get what Victor’s plan is considering Adam is on the run and wanted for attempted murder. She’ll wonder if maybe Victor will turn wherever Adam is stashed into their corporate headquarters.

Nikki will contend that maybe losing Cyaxeres is a blessing in disguise for Victoria. She’ll suggest that if Victor is busy with Adam, he’ll be too busy to interfere in her work at Newman Enterprises.

Victoria will head to Billy’s suite next, so he’ll get the news about Ashland’s heart attack and the contract stunt Victor just pulled.

Billy will rage over Victor stealing the company from Victoria and will want to watch her confrontation with her father. He’ll add that Victor’s machinations might be good for a story, but Victoria will push Billy to go on his date with Lily and let her fill him in later.

Billy will follow Victoria anyway, so he’ll text Lily about running late and working on something that could potentially be big. Lily will tell Devon about Billy’s delay and expect him to say “I told you so,” but he won’t want to do that.

That’ll prove troubling to Lily. She’ll think since Devon won’t crack any more jokes, it must really mean he thinks her relationship with Billy won’t last.

At the ranch, Victoria will barge in and ask if Victor would care to explain himself. Victor will wonder why he should and will scold Victoria over her tone.

The confrontation will escalate as Billy appears and rants about Victor stealing Victoria’s company, but that’s not how Victor will see it at all.

Victoria will insist that from now on, Victor can save all his advice for Adam. She won’t want him popping in Newman and telling her how to run things. After Victoria stomps off, Victor will order Billy to get out, too.

Back at Jabot, Summer will tell Kyle about her conversation with Tara. Kyle will appreciate what Summer’s trying to do, but he’ll think he has to be the one to end this. Harrison will be Kyle’s biggest concern.

Kyle will worry about Ashland’s fate and will point out Summer doesn’t know what it’s like to lose a parent at a young age. However, Summer will offer reassurance since Tara clearly loves her son. She’ll argue that no matter what happens, Harrison will have Tara just like Kyle had Jack.

After Jack gets heart attack confirmation from the hospital, he’ll admit there are no updates on Ashland’s condition. As cold as it sounds, Summer will think this at least gives them a chance to regroup.

Jack will acknowledge that Ashland has a family – and that there’s a little boy out there in danger of losing his father. Kyle will look pensive over Jack’s comment as he stands nearby.

Later, Kyle will bump into Tara at the hotel. She’ll note that Ashland needs surgery and is getting a pacemaker, but she had to come pick up a few things for him.

Kyle will hope Ashland pulls through for Harrison’s sake, but he’ll confess that he feels no pity for the man beyond that. He’ll argue that Ashland is trying to flat-out crush Jabot, but Tara will suggest she’s been mulling it over.

Although Tara won’t have time to get into the details, she’ll vow to get in touch about a way she might be able to help.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle’s Ashland troubles are far from over, so stay tuned to Y&R. CDL will have all the sizzling Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news you’re looking for, so make us your go-to source.
