The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, August 13, tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) suspect Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) hidden agenda while Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) hunt for Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) heats up.
Y&R fans know Victor actually responded well to Ashland and Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) engagement news.
Although Victor’s concerned about the loss Victoria will eventually face, he admires what she’s doing on some level.
Victoria wants to be by Ashland’s side through an incredibly difficult experience and love him every step of the way.
Victor can respect that and even offered to plan the wedding along with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), so it’s clear that he’s trying to be a supportive dad right now.
Of course, being a supportive dad also means being a protective one! That’s why Victor will corner Ashland to grill him about his true intentions.
Victor will wonder if love is really all Ashland has to gain and will put the groom-to-be through quite an interrogation.
Ashland will no doubt stay calm and have an answer for everything, but he may slip up somehow – or at least not make a convincing enough speech.
Regardless, Victor will have a bad feeling after this conversation. He’ll come up with a reason to be suspicious and will decide to dig into Ashland’s history in the coming episodes.
There’s still a strong chance that Ashland’s illness is an elaborate scheme, so that’s something Victor’s search for answers could expose eventually.
Speaking of a search for answers, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will push Rey to find a way to track Mariah down. The people who know and love Mariah are finally getting concerned enough to take real action, so that’s a relief!
Mariah will remain in captivity, but Rey will hope to make progress on locating her – and perhaps he’ll start by looking into when Mariah’s credit cards and bank account were last used.
Sharon brought up that idea before, so this could at least confirm that Mariah’s been truly missing for a while now.
It looks like Rey will get Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) involved sooner or later – and Victor will even offer his own resources down the road.
The Mariah search will bring growing worries, but everyone will try to stick together and solve the mystery.
Ben “Stich” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) is still the most likely snatcher suspect, so he’d better be prepared for the trouble that’s headed his way!
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Mariah will be reunited with her loved ones eventually, but things will get worse before they get better.
