The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, August 6, reveals that Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) will be arrested for fraud – and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will have an Italy surprise for Summer Newman (Hunter King). Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will also want to hire Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), so let’s talk about Friday’s drama-filled Y&R episode.
At The Grand Phoenix, Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) will show up after being summoned. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will insist there’s no time to waste. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will back Phyllis up as they push for Lauren’s help with a phone call.
At the Abbott mansion, Kyle will push Tara to stop with all the games and lies. He’ll rant about this being how Tara repaid the Abbotts for their kindness, so Tara will think it sounds like Kyle wants her out of the house.
Tara will add that it’s time to make good on her threat and will plan to head to New York with Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) just as soon as she can pack.
When Kyle protests, Tara will point out that she’s Harrison’s mother. She won’t think Kyle can stop her since he’s just some guy she had a fling with.
While Tara’s upstairs, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will suggest that maybe their lawyers can get an injunction to stop Tara from taking Harrison out of Genoa City.
Kyle will fret over it taking time to assert his rights as Harrison’s biological father. Jack will contend that they could tell Tara they forgive her and that they’re giving her another chance.
However, Kyle will feel like Tara would see right through that strategy. He’ll feel like everyone’s cornered in this situation.
Back at The Grand Phoenix, Nick will spot a man in a suit and confirm that he arranged the call from Lauren Fenmore. He’ll insist they have some things they need to discuss.
At Society, Adam will call Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) to remind him to have fun and learn while he’s at lacrosse camp.
Afterward, Nick will approach Adam’s table and look at a text from Phyllis about the plan that’s in motion. He’ll admit to Adam that Summer was coerced into leaving town, so they’re handling it.
Adam and Nick will be in agreement about doing whatever it takes for their children.
Talk will turn to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), so Adam will assure Nick that their relationship is over. He’ll add that he has a job waiting for Chelsea if she wants it, so Nick will think that could get awkward.
Adam won’t think it’s so crazy to think two exes could get along as co-parents since Nick and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) have managed to do it.
Nick will still feel like it’s weird to just hang out with Adam like this and will joke that they could go back to hating each other. Adam won’t even be sure what would create a rift again at this point.
Nick will note that it’d create a rift if Adam went after Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), so he’ll make it clear that Sharon can’t be Adam’s safe haven.
Adam will assure Nick that he’s just focused on his job and Connor.
At the Newman ranch, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will pay Victor a visit at the latter’s request. Victor will thank Rey for making sure Chelsea got to her mother and for making sure Connor got back home safely.
Victor will quiz Rey about how Chelsea seemed and will express concern over Chelsea plotting to run with Connor at an opportune moment.
Rey will defend Chelsea as a good mother and won’t think she’s going to jeopardize her relationship with her son.
Victor will praise Rey’s analytic talents and will wonder if he’s ever thought about using them somewhere besides the police department. When Rey says that sounds like a job offer, Victor will confirm that it is.
Victor will want Rey to join his private security firm, where he’d be paid well and have great benefits.
Rey won’t be able to imagine being anything but a police officer, so he’ll respectfully turn the offer down. Victor will understand, but he’ll also note that situations can change.
At Crimson Lights, Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) will give Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) a signed album that features a recording of Tigirlily’s concert set. Sharon will seem pleased over the young lovebirds as they head off to the patio.
Later, Sharon will admit to Rey that she’s growing more concerned about Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). Rey will note that he looked into the matter unofficially and didn’t find out anything.
Sharon will thank Rey for trying and will confirm that he’s not going to say anything to worry Faith.
When Rey brings up Victor’s job offer, Sharon will be taken aback. She’ll also be relieved to learn Rey turned Victor down, but Rey will still seem open to new opportunities that’d provide less risk and more time at home with Sharon.
Back at Society, Victor will join Nick and Adam’s table. They’ll end up discussing Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) merger and risky romance with Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) before Nick gets a text about Phyllis’ victory.
As Nick exits, he’ll remind Adam and Victor to never doubt Phyllis when she says she’ll do something.
Once Adam is alone, he’ll leave a voicemail for Sharon. Adam will apologize if he made Sharon uncomfortable recently and will promise to keep his distance from now on.
Back at the Abbott house, Jack will get off the phone and admit the lawyers have concerns about the success of an injunction.
Tara will soon come downstairs gloating about how excited Harrison is to go back to New York.
Kyle will argue that Tara’s making a big mistake, but she’ll think the mistake was bringing Harrison there in the first place.
Kyle will feel like there’s been enough pain and will beg Tara not to take Harrison, but she’ll refuse to give up control.
That said, Tara will acknowledge how much Kyle loves his son. She’ll be willing to let Kyle visit in New York, Paris or wherever they end up, but she’ll refuse to stay in Genoa City any longer.
As Tara prepares to finish packing, Phyllis and Lauren will burst in the door. Lauren will reveal that she learned why Tara’s accountant was holding back the disclosures she asked for.
Laura will explain that Tara has been stealing from her own company – siphoning off her investors’ capital to put in her private account.
Lauren will add that Tara misrepresented the health of her company to Fenmore’s just to get her hands on more cash. “You know what that’s called, Tara? That’s called fraud. Brazen fraud,” Lauren will insist.
Tara will assume Phyllis must’ve hacked her accounts and will argue that none of this is admissible, but she’ll ultimately learn her accountant flipped and turned all the evidence over to the authorities.
After Phyllis declares this is over, two police officers will enter. Tara will be handcuffed and read her rights as she’s placed under arrest.
Before Tara’s led away, she’ll push Kyle to check on Harrison. Tara will hope Phyllis is proud of herself – and Phyllis indeed will be!
Once Tara’s gone, Jack will think he owes “Red” an apology and will thank her for saving the day. Phyllis will be excited since this means Summer has the freedom to come home.
Later, Kyle will admit he told Harrison that his mom went to New York a few days early. Jack will think that was a smart explanation to buy them some time.
Jack will note that if the accountant is telling the truth, then Tara will spend a few years in prison – no matter how good her attorney is.
Kyle will ask Jack to watch Harrison while he goes on a trip, so Jack will be able to guess where. All Kyle will need is his passport.
In Milan, Kyle will knock on Summer’s door after catching a flight there. “I’ve come to take you home,” Kyle will say before pulling Summer into a passionate kiss.
