The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, January 22, tease that Gloria Fisher-Bardwell (Judith Chapman) will show up in Genoa City, so Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) will immediately sense that more trouble’s brewing. When Kevin asks what brings Gloria to town, she’ll snap at her son. Gloria will suggest Kevin shouldn’t pretend he doesn’t know!
Kevin recently decided to intervene after he found out about Gloria’s blackmail plot, which involved the embezzlement scandal cover-up at Newman Enterprises. Gloria will probably lash out at Kevin since he cost her a valuable opportunity.
Perhaps Gloria will wonder what she’s supposed to do now, but Kevin will think his mom needs to appreciate the favor. Gloria’s plans were derailed, but at least she’s not headed to prison!
Nevertheless, Gloria may be broke and looking for a new path. She might think Kevin should find her a job or loan her some cash until she can nail down some other problematic scheme. Kevin may tell Gloria she’s on her own, but he’d be wise to keep a close eye on her!
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Gloria will turn to Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) next week, so Fenmore’s may be where Gloria lands next. In the meantime, Kevin will have to contend with Gloria’s surprise return home and all the drama that comes with it.
Over with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), she’ll remain riled over Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) bond with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case). Chelsea was quite agitated after Sharon dropped by the penthouse unexpectedly, but she’ll have another reason to fume in Friday’s Y&R episode.
That might have something to do with the flowers Adam will have delivered to Sharon’s home. Chelsea could easily overhear Adam ordering those flowers and hear the heartfelt words he wants on the card. Adam will just be trying to offer his gratitude to Sharon and hopefully make her feel a little more comfortable after Chelsea’s unsettling reaction.
Chelsea won’t have the same perspective since she feels like Sharon’s moving in on her man! On the bright side, Chelsea’s anger will continue to bring progress in her recovery. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea will have another steamy “Shadam” vision and move a finger, so Adam will be encouraged.
Unfortunately, Adam’s optimism will turn to concern in the week ahead. He’ll battle worries about Chelsea’s recovery, so he may feel like she’s pushing herself too hard.
Until then, let’s talk about Summer Newman (Hunter King) and The Bold and the Beautiful’s Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden). As the Y&R and B&B crossover special continues, Flo will offer the scoop on Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) in LA. Friday’s episode will bring some wild Sally stories for Summer, who’ll love finding out all the dirty details of her rival’s past.
Flo will probably mention how Sally pretended she was dying to make Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) feel sorry for her. Sally cooked up a plan that included roping her doctor friend into helping her fake her terminal diagnosis. Once Flo found out about Sally’s crazy scheme to win Wyatt back, she was knocked out and held hostage before she could expose it.
Summer should be on the edge of her seat as Flo explains how Sally plotted to get pregnant by Wyatt and trap him into a future through a baby. Flo will want Summer to understand what Sally’s capable of – and that’s what Summer will want Lauren and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to understand, too.
Summer will hope she’s got enough to nail Sally’s coffin and potentially send her packing. Of course, Sally is a smart cookie and has been making some moves to soften the blow of Summer’s dirt ahead of time. Y&R fans will see Sally do even more of that as she bonds with Jack in the coming week.
Finally, there are some undated Young and the Restless spoilers about Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) that should play out on Friday – though it’s possible they’ll air on Monday due to the recent preemption.
Whatever the case, Victoria will find herself feeling unsettled as Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) sets up some bonding time for Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri).
Lily will have a blast with Katie at Chancellor Communications, but Victoria will be taken aback to hear them in the background of a phone call with Billy.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say jealous Victoria will have a huge issue with this since she’s been using the kids to pull Billy closer. Victoria may find herself troubled by what’ll happen if Lily one day becomes the children’s stepmommy!
