The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, July 16, tease that Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) secret help will pay off while Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) team up to bust killer Sutton Ames (Jack Landron). As for Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan), his behavior will become even more suspicious.
First, let’s talk about two secret helpers who have taken it upon themselves to assist Summer.
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) could tell Summer was torn about leaving Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) when she asked him to be a friend to his nephew.
Billy also grew wary when he spotted Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) having such an intense discussion.
As a result, Billy will take his questions and concerns to Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) in Thursday’s Y&R episode – and Phyllis will promptly manipulate Tara to confirm she’s after a family with Kyle.
That’ll set up Phyllis and Billy reconvening on Friday, July 16. These sneaky partners will need to have another strategy session to discuss their next move.
Phyllis should feel completely confident that Tara and Sally found a way to drive Summer out of town.
It’ll probably be Billy’s turn to take the lead somehow, but Phyllis will keep doing whatever she can to expose this twisted plot against her daughter.
Friday’s episode will continue the teamwork theme since Amanda will join forces with Victor for a vengeful plan as well.
Amanda’s main goal is to clear Naya Benedict’s (Ptosha Storey) name, but this is also about getting justice for Richard Nealon.
Since Amanda believes Sutton killed her father, she’ll want Victor’s help to prove it.
Victor will listen to Amanda’s pitch and vow to offer assistance, so look for Victor to set a trap for Sutton in the coming episodes.
In the meantime, Stitch will insert himself into the Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) crisis at the Chancellor mansion.
It seems there’ll be another disagreement between Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Abby, but Stitch will try to offer a calming presence.
We’ll see Stitch throw out suggestions and make himself useful, so Abby should appreciate all the support.
Of course, it’s strange that Mariah went missing right after Stitch returned to town! Stitch may just be pretending to help while secretly holding the pregnant surrogate hostage.
For now, Abby should think Stitch is so sweet to come to her rescue like this – and that may be part of his crazy agenda.
