The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, July 30, teases that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will test lonely Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) as he fishes for answers. Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will also admire Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) while Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will also form a quick LA flight plan.
At The Grand Phoenix on Friday’s Y&R episode, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will interrupt Phyllis’ chat with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan).
Sally will insist that Phyllis crossed her one time too many and will wonder if it’s even legal to be spreading that security video around.
After Phyllis argues that’s the least of Sally’s problems, Sally will call her spiteful and vicious.
Phyllis will admit it and will push Sally to come clean about what she’s done before things get “much, much worse.”
Once Sally offers another denial, she’ll declare Phyllis unbelievable and storm out. Amanda will point out that she can be Phyllis’ attorney as well as her friend.
Amanda will think Phyllis had better tell her about the video Sally mentioned, so Phyllis will spill the story that started with stealing Sally’s phone and sending a text.
Amanda won’t like the sound of all this and will think Phyllis is playing with fire. However, she’ll be willing to help crack the case and will suggest putting Sally aside.
Amanda will think Tara is the key to solving the mystery. She’ll feel like there’s something they’re missing since she won’t understand why Tara even needs Sally’s help.
As Amanda helps Phyllis work through everything that’s happened, Phyllis will realize Summer Newman (Hunter King) heard about the Milan job offer from Sally.
After Phyllis decides to go straight to the source, she’ll note that Angelina Marchetti is currently in Los Angeles.
Amanda will think it’s a bold move to call Summer’s boss, but Phyllis will stick to her plan and will get Angelina’s number through a PR person Phyllis used to work with.
Once Phyllis makes the call, Angelina will gush over her brilliant daughter. She’ll insist she’ll be forever grateful to Eric Forrester (John McCook) for recommending Summer, so that news will throw Phyllis for a loop.
Angelina will admit she’s in LA meeting with Eric, so Phyllis will claim that’s such a coincidence since she’s headed to LA, too.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will appear and glare at Phyllis – clearly knowing she’s up to something.
At the Abbott mansion, Tara will find Kyle in the living room. She’ll be surprised since she didn’t hear Kyle come in.
Kyle will mention that Tara was on the phone with Sally when he came home, but Tara will quickly bring up what a grueling day it’s been.
Tara will claim that telling Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) about Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) illness was one of the hardest moments of this ordeal.
Tara will be so glad that Kyle’s home and will mention that Ashland has decided to seek treatment.
Kyle will note that Harrison might have his father longer than they anticipated, so Tara will suggest she’s hopeful.
When Kyle asks Tara about the call, she’ll claim Sally just wanted to apologize for earlier.
Tara will act like she feels sorry for Sally and will worry Phyllis’ unfounded accusations got to Kyle. She’ll need to know if Kyle still trusts her.
Kyle will act like there’s nothing to worry about and will ask where Tara sees things going from here.
Tara will confirm that Ashland’s treatment decision doesn’t change the fact that her marriage is over. Kyle will point out that Tara and Harrison are welcome to stay there.
That said, Kyle will suggest he doesn’t want to keep Tara from getting on with her life. Tara will talk about how lonely she’s been, so Kyle will ask what she plans to do about that loneliness.
“If only there was a simple answer,” Tara will say right before Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) walks in.
After Jack asks to speak with Kyle alone, he’ll fill his son in on catching Sally in a lie and ending things with her.
Jack will think it’s looking a lot like Sally and Tara are more than just colleagues. Since Sally was hiding something, Jack will think Tara could be hiding something, too.
Phyllis will listen as Jack and Kyle debate the situation.
Jack will admit that although Phyllis has always been a pot-stirrer, her instincts have always been on the money. He’ll feel like too many things aren’t adding up here.
When Tara returns, Kyle will suggest he has something to take care of before exiting.
Tara will turn her attention to Jack and mention that she feels a shift in how they look at her. She’ll act like she’s an open book and will hope she can put Jack’s mind at ease.
Tara will worry that maybe she should move out along with Harrison, but Jack won’t think that’s necessary. He’ll tell Tara that Harrison is family, which makes Tara family as well.
Jack will just want reassurance that Tara’s been upfront with him – that he won’t eventually learn something that’ll make him regret letting Tara into his home.
At Society, Sally will corner Kyle as he sips a drink at the bar. She’ll want to know why everyone’s so against giving her a chance and why they’re all out to ruin her life.
At Newman Media, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will come in with a list of complaints about her office.
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will surprise her by insisting she can order whatever she needs.
After Adam gets a message on his phone, he’ll note that Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) is home and will race off to meet him.
At Crimson Lights, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will greet Connor when he comes in with Rey. She’ll point out that Adam talks about Connor all the time, so it’ll seemingly bother Rey that the exes have been in touch.
After Connor’s set up a table, Sharon will explain that it was just briefly when Adam came by for coffee.
Rey will fret over the possibility that Adam’s up to his old tricks, but Sharon will contend that he was just a dad missing his kid.
Once Adam arrives, he’ll catch up with Connor and admit he needs to run back by the office since he forgot his laptop.
Adam will tell Connor that it’s been lonely here on his own – and Sharon will look rather uncomfortable.
Later, Sharon will quiz Rey about Chelsea, so Rey will admit the distance from Adam seems to be helping her.
Rey will note that he tested Chelsea and gave her opportunities to give him the slip. Nothing happened – and Rey won’t think it’s going to happen now either. He’ll feel like Chelsea’s focused on Connor and wouldn’t jeopardize her access to him.
Sharon will think Rey’s amazing since Chelsea put Rey in the hospital, but he has such admiration for her in his voice.
Rey will assure Sharon that he’s forgiven Chelsea and that she deserves another chance.
Sharon will suggest Rey is the kindest and most generous man she’s ever met, so he’ll reply with a joke about how that’s good “if you’re into that sort of thing.”
That’ll lead to Sharon thinking back on Adam assuming she was drawn to his wilder side. Sharon will remember Adam suggesting Rey didn’t seem to have a dark side at all.
Rey will mention that Chelsea confessed to him about wishing she could take everything back.
Rey will think Chelsea is worried about Connor and regrets how everything turned out with Adam. Rey will feel like Chelsea’s having a hard time letting go.
Meanwhile, Chloe will sneak back in Adam’s office right as Chelsea calls. She’ll answer the video chat and reveal where she is, so Chelsea will wonder if Chloe’s snooping.
Chloe will insist she’s not – at least not really! She’ll admit things are actually going well with Adam and will point out Chelsea’s job will be there waiting for her.
Chelsea will guess that Adam really does feel bad about what happened, but her attitude adjustment will prove troubling to Chloe.
Chloe will argue that Chelsea was the best thing that ever happened to Adam, but he blew it!
Even so, Chelsea will point out that she’s had time to truly think about things. She’ll be tired of all the anger and ready to let it go, but her video call will be interrupted by Connor and Adam’s arrival.
Connor will be excited to talk to his mom again, but Adam will shut the call down quickly.
After Adam drops a hint for Chloe to go home, he’ll head back to the ranch with Connor.
Once Connor says he wants to call his mom back after unpacking, he’ll suggest Adam could talk to Chelsea, too.
Connor will note that they have to start making plans for when Chelsea comes home, so Adam will look pensive once Connor leaves the room.
Back with Chloe on the video call, she’ll assure Chelsea that everything’s going to be fine – just as long as Chelsea keeps things strictly business.
Chloe will feel like Chelsea and Adam just have to concentrate on co-parenting their son.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chloe’s concerns could grow in the coming episodes, so stay tuned.
CDL will have other fantastic Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news to read up on, so pop back in soon.
