The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Friday, June 11 Recap – Summer & Kyle’s Wedding Date – Sutton’s Big Slipup

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, June 11, reveals that Summer Newman (Hunter King) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will get closer to setting their wedding date while Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) makes Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) an offer. Meanwhile, Sutton Ames (Jack Landron) will make a big slipup in front of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

First on Friday’s Y&R episode, Summer and Kyle will discuss their impending nuptials. Kyle will be taken aback when Summer wants to get married this August.

Kyle will want to make sure Summer has enough time to plan her dream wedding, but Summer will think they’ve got it covered with all the family help.

Summer won’t see any reason to put their lives on hold, so Kyle will assure his bride-to-be that she’s right. At the Abbott mansion, Tara will worry that Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) change of heart might’ve been a ploy.

However, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will urge Tara to put it out of her mind until she hears from her lawyer.

Tara will agree that’s the right idea and will plan to enjoy butterfly hunting with Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez). Later, Kyle will fill Jack in on his August wedding plans.

Kyle will also admit there’s a reason Tara’s so nervous and will recap the story of Harrison hurting himself while under the care of his nanny.

Jack won’t think that sounds like anything that would affect the custody case, but he’ll get why Tara would worry Ashland might try to use it against her. He won’t view the minor injury and ER visit as a big deal – that is if it happened the way Tara said.

Kyle will feel like Tara’s story was legit, but Jack will advise his son to let his lawyer look into the incident – just so they don’t have any surprises.

At ChancComm, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will mull over why Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) had to leave for New York so suddenly.

Billy will assume it was about Newman business. Lily will also be excited about the kids spending their first night with Daddy and his girlfriend at their new place. She’ll have some surprises up her sleeve to make this special.

Afterward, Lily will talk to Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) about the keyboard he picked out for Johnny Abbott (Holden and Ryan Hare) and Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri).

When Lily worries about it seeming like she wants to buy the kids’ affection, Devon will insist she’s just being the cool girlfriend. As for Victoria, Lily will hope that she’s found somewhere else to focus her energy.

When Billy runs into Jack in the park, he’ll apologize for their argument the other night. Jack won’t hold a grudge and will look forward to Billy meeting Harrison when the time is right.

Billy will mention Victoria’s sudden trip to New York, so Jack will come clean about Victoria taking one at the exact same time.

Once Billy’s alone, he’ll leave Victoria a voicemail about the rumor being she’s in New York with Ashland. Billy will beg Victoria to call him back and tell him that’s not true.

At Crimson Lights, Summer will confront Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) about probing her employees to see how she’s doing in her position at JCV. Sally will insist the questions were innocent, but Summer will know better.

After Sally admits she’s heard Summer’s been distracted, she’ll rub it in about Kyle’s ex being in town along with their lovechild. Summer will hope Sally’s new gig in Italy works out since getting rid of her would be a dream come true.

Suddenly, Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will appear and ask what they’re talking about. That’ll lead to a discussion about the creative director job at Marketi in Milan. Sally will suggest it’s “so sad” that one woman is trying to sabotage another woman’s chances.

Lauren will mention that she needs Sally to run the staff meeting. Sally will wonder who Lauren’s meeting with instead, so Lauren will come clean about Kyle putting in a good word for Tara’s shoe line.

Lauren will be thrilled over the possible collaboration, which Sally will think sounds great. Summer, on the other hand, won’t look happy at all!

After Lauren stops by the Abbott mansion, she’ll gush over Tara’s shoe line and want to discuss collaborating at a proper meeting next week. Tara won’t be able to commit to anything concrete since she’s got so much personal drama going on.

Lauren will note that the offer stands, even if Tara just wants to get to know each other. She’ll understand since Kyle filled her in on Tara’s situation beforehand. “He’s in your corner. That’s for sure!” Lauren will insist.

Next, Jack will bring a gift home that he bought at the toy store for Harrison. Tara will admit she heard from a friend that Ashland wasn’t traveling alone in New York, so Jack will relay his suspicions that it was likely Victoria.

Jack will note this could’ve been what tempered Ashland when it came to the custody agreement.

When Kyle comes home later, Tara will thank him for stepping up for her with Lauren. Kyle will assure Tara that she isn’t alone. He’ll want her to stay in Genoa City and be a huge success for selfish reasons since he can’t imagine living without Harrison now.

Summer will walk in and look uneasy over the close moment she witnesses.

Over with Sally again, she’ll leave The Bold and the Beautiful’s Eric Forrester (John McCook) a message. Sally will need a favor for Summer Newman, so she’ll hope Eric’s willing to call her back.

At Society, Sutton Ames (Jack Landron) will stand his ground and refuse to listen to Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) advice about the legal strategy change. Amanda won’t understand why Sutton is willing to risk prison over this.

Amanda will sell the idea of being a family united against their political enemies and will argue that all Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) has to do is recount what happened back then.

Sutton will shut down that option and will argue that he just wants all this to go away. Amanda will wonder why Sutton hired her if he’s not going to let her run with her instincts.

Sutton will argue that he’s starting to wonder the same thing. He’ll argue that he’s made it clear that he’s not going to change his position.

“Then maybe you should just fire me,” Amanda will declare. Sutton will suggest that might’ve been the best idea Amanda has presented since she arrived!

Naya and Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) will watch this whole interaction nervously until Sutton storms out.

Naya will apologize on Sutton’s behalf and will think she can smooth things over with him. Amanda will think that maybe it’s for the best if she’s off the case, but Naya will beg her not to walk away.

Naya won’t want Amanda to make any rash decisions until she can talk to Sutton and work this out.

After Naya leaves, Imani will admit she was impressed with how Amanda stood up to Sutton. She’ll hope Amanda isn’t really quitting and will act like Sutton perhaps just has old-fashioned notions.

Amanda won’t think she’s getting the whole story. She’ll admit she’s starting to wonder how honest any of them have been and will resolve to find out “what the hell” is going on. Amanda will think she’s been too trusting, but she’ll insist that’s over now.

In Amanda’s hotel suite, she’ll fill Devon in on the rough meeting with Sutton. Devon won’t get why Sutton’s risking prison instead of just admitting Naya was pregnant in college. He’ll think maybe it’s time for Amanda to follow her instincts and get out of this mess.

Amanda will point out that if they are hiding something, she won’t know if she walks away. She’ll have a hunch that she’s right about the secret – and Devon will have a feeling Amanda’s going to find out what it is.

In the lobby, Victor will have a tense encounter with Sutton. He’ll hate that Newman Enterprises had to be dragged into Sutton’s situation. Sutton will mention that he’s changing counsel and will add that his granddaughter let him down.

The granddaughter comment will surprise Victor, but Sutton will cover that Imani has been helping Amanda out with the case.

Victor won’t seem to buy it and will ultimately call Amanda to set up a meeting. He’ll insist that he’d like to find out Amanda’s real connection to Sutton. As other Y&R news and updates come in, we’ll keep you posted.
