The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, June 4, reveals that Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) deal with tempt Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) and infuriate Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Meanwhile, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will predict a baby for Summer Newman (Hunter King).
At Crimson Lights, Summer will open up to Jack about how it was hard to see Kyle looking like the perfect family with Tara and Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez). However, Summer will suggest that she has to embrace all this since she refuses to lose Kyle.
Talk will turn to the postponed wedding, but Summer will insist Kyle is still her future. Jack will be convinced that when the time is right, Kyle will have another child with Summer.
Jack will add that Summer’s going to be an amazing mother. He’ll learn that Tara will likely stay in Genoa City with Harrison, so he’ll be glad to not miss the same moments he missed with Kyle.
Jack will point out that kids have a way of grabbing your heart and will seem hopeful that’ll be the case for Summer when it comes to Harrison. As Jack leaves, he’ll run into Sally and act distant with her.
Summer will take jabs about how badly Sally blew it, but Sally won’t need a reminder. She’ll bring up her fashion house job and raise suspicions about what she’s up to.
Sally will deny being up to anything and will hope she gets the new gig. She’ll insist she’s tired of being a punching bag and stomp off. Afterward, Sally will get a video chat pep talk from “Grams” aka Shirley Spectra (Patrika Darbo).
Shirley will remind Sally that she’s Spectra and push her to dig deep for the confidence she needs.
Sally will promise to take the advice and will reflect on how to get what she wants. If Ashland won’t help get Summer to Italy and out of the way, Sally will suggest she’ll just have to go to Plan B.
At the Abbott mansion, Ashland will insist he wants to talk to Tara alone. He’ll remain calm, so Tara will ask Kyle to watch Harrison while they discuss the custody drama.
While Kyle’s alone with Harrison, the kid will ask if Mommy and Father are mad at each other. Kyle will explain that even people who like each other get mad sometimes, but Harrison will always be loved.
At Society, Ashland will have a simple question for Tara – and he’ll want an honest answer. “Are you in love with Kyle Abbott?” Ashland will ask on Friday’s Y&R episode.
Tara will reply that she has no romantic relationship with Kyle, but Ashland will press her to reveal how she felt about Kyle during their time together in the Hamptons. Tara will admit that after her wedding to Ashland, things changed between them.
Although Tara had lots of expensive things, Ashland was always focused on work. She felt isolated and her life was empty.
Tara started entertaining just to have people around and played the part of the perfect hostess. It was Kyle who saw through the act and talked to Tara like she mattered.
Tara won’t be proud of what she did, but Ashland will think what Tara shouldn’t be proud of is letting him fall in love with a child that wasn’t his.
Nevertheless, Ashland will want to make a deal with Tara. He’ll insist it’s the only one he’s going to offer and the only time he’s going to offer it.
When Tara returns to the Abbott mansion, she’ll explain the terms of Ashland’s deal to Kyle and Jack. It turns out Ashland will agree to share custody – but only if Kyle is never allowed to see Harrison or allowed to be a part of his life in any way.
Jack will argue that’s outrageous and will suggest that the Abbotts have plenty of clout to bring to the table.
Tara will mention that Ashland is friends with so many judges. She’ll want to call her lawyer since she only has 24 hours to make her up mind. Kyle will be stunned as he realizes Tara is actually considering this, but she’ll argue that she can’t and won’t lose her son.
After Summer gets updates from Kyle later, he’ll admit there’s no way he can agree to have no contact with Harrison.
In the park, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will delight Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) with birthday gifts, including two tickets to a concert in Florence and some Italian chocolates he had flown in.
Victor will also offer a picture of a new horse that’s waiting for Nikki in the stables. There’ll be some romantic flashbacks as Victor and Nikki celebrate their love.
In Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) suite, she’ll surprise Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) by sticking to her defense strategy. Amanda will explain that it’s what Sutton wants and will argue that blackmail still could’ve been involved.
Devon will feel like Sutton is making Amanda’s job more difficult through his interference. He’ll also think the case has become personal and that emotions are getting in the way.
After Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) and Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) show up, Naya will announce that they have a personal matter to discuss. Devon will hastily exit so they all have a chance to talk.
Naya will apologize to Amanda for the tension before and will understand why she had to ask the hard questions. She’ll wonder how Richard found out about her pregnancy and will consider the idea that Rose Turner said something.
Amanda will insist that she was the only daughter Richard found and knew about.
Naya will claim it breaks her heart to know Richard learned so much and never got to meet Amanda. Even so, Naya will think the Ames family needs to be Amanda’s focus now.
Amanda will agree that she’s been dwelling on what might’ve been and letting it distract her from what needs to be done. She’ll think she has to concentrate on the present instead of the past.
Later, Amanda will get emotional in her room alone before Imani knocks. Imani will let Amanda know she’s sorry for what Amanda is going through. She’ll also reveal that she got a room at The Grand Phoenix so she’d be closer as they prepare for trial. Imani will really hope she can earn Amanda’s trust.
When Naya finds Devon down in the lobby, she’ll fish to find out just how close he is to Amanda. Devon will claim they’re good friends and will assure Naya that everything Amanda has shared will remain confidential.
Naya will mention the fact that unsettling information has come to light. She’ll be worried about Amanda – and Devon will admit he’s worried, too. He’ll think it may have been a mistake for Amanda to take this case.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Amanda still has some shockers ahead of her, so don’t miss all the action. CDL will have lots of other thrilling Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news, so pop back in regularly.
