The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, March 5, tease that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will want to clear the air with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
When Lily first found out Newman Enterprises was going after Ashland Locke’s (Paul Burgi) media company, she felt like Victoria would surely know about Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) plans.
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) disagreed, but Lily tried to act like Billy was underestimating Victoria and the lengths she would go to for a power play. Of course, Billy turned out to be right since Victor plotted this Cyaxares acquisition behind Victor’s back.
Now that Lily knows what really happened, she may acknowledge that she thought the worst of Victoria and apologize for that.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Lily will want to clarify her stance and perhaps get on Victoria’s good side. Although Billy and Lily have backed off to avoid a bidding war, they still don’t want Victor making this deal and doing damage to Chancellor Communications with it.
Lily may hope she can count on Victoria to talk Victor out of acquiring Cyaxares, but Victoria may argue that Newman’s business decisions are none of Lily’s concern.
It’s no secret that Lily and Billy’s romance gets under Victoria’s skin, so that’ll inevitably be a factor here. Lily can’t stop Victor’s plans anyway, so this conversation with Victoria will likely backfire and only succeed in causing drama.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday reveal that Victor will pass along some difficult news. Victoria will likely learn that Cyaxares will indeed become Newman’s new media division if everything goes as anticipated.
The worst part will be the person Victor’s chosen to run it since Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has been offered the job.
Victor might point out that Adam’s still mulling it over, but he’ll indeed think it’d be good for both Newman Enterprises and his son. Perhaps Victor will argue that Adam could use the distraction from the toll Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) recovery process is taking.
Victor will expect Victoria to get on board and may add that she won’t even have to deal with Adam since he’ll report to his old man. Although Victoria certainly won’t want to interact with Adam more than she has to, she may think Victor’s overstepping as usual.
The idea of Adam rejoining Newman Enterprises – even working remotely – will really push Victoria’s buttons.
Other Y&R spoilers say Chelsea will achieve a surprising victory. Since Chelsea’s been secretly working on her recovery, this should involve another step forward. We know Chelsea’s set to start talking again soon, so her first word since her stroke may come on Friday.
Regardless, Chelsea will feel encouraged by her own progress as the week winds down. It’ll set up Chelsea’s verbal communication with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) in the next couple episodes – along with a close call involving Adam!
