The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, May 7, reveals that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will shut down Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) suggestion to fly Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) to a private facility where no one will ask questions.
Nick won’t be on board with the unnecessary risk for Faith – and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will agree Faith has to come first. Even so, Victor will want to have some sort of plan in place once they get the greenlight following Adam’s test results.
Talk will turn to Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and whether he can be trusted. Nick and Victor will rehash how Nate almost lost his license due to helping Victor fake his death.
Although Nick will admit he saw another side of Adam in Kansas, he won’t be sure Adam has changed forever and won’t be ready to say all is forgiven.
Nikki will feel like they can trust Nate to put Faith first. She won’t think Nate will jeopardize the transplant just because Adam is a fugitive. Nikki will suggest they should at least give Nate the chance to help them.
Later, Nate will visit the ranch and mention that they don’t have the results of the tissue cross match test just yet. Victor will reveal that the potential donor is Adam and will share his plan. He’ll note that they want to get Adam in for surgery and out as soon as it’s safe without alerting the authorities.
The Newmans will acknowledge that Nate will be risking a lot, but he’ll understand Nick’s promise to help Adam escape. Nate will feel like he would’ve promised anything in Nick’s position as well.
In the end, Nate will decide he’s a doctor first and foremost. He’ll let others handle the legal side of things, so Victor will be grateful along with Nick and Nikki.
However, Nick will remain worried about putting Nate’s career and Faith’s life in the hands of his wildcard brother.
Meanwhile, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam will talk to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) at the cottage. He’ll admit he wants to help Faith, but he’s doing this for Sharon, too.
Adam will insist that he had a lot of time to think in Kansas and determined that Sharon will always be part of him. It’s not something Adam can run from. Adam will think Sharon will always be with him and will argue that the fact that he’s standing there is proof of that.
“You’re here for Faith. Nothing more,” Sharon will reply unconvincingly. Adam will assure Sharon that he’s going to disappear for good after this is all over. He’ll tell Sharon that she’ll be free to live her life with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso).
When Sharon turns away looking uncomfortable, Adam will push for answers. “Isn’t that what you want?” Adam will wonder. He’ll guess Rey’s upset about Faith carrying a part of him around for the rest of her life, but Sharon will admit she hadn’t thought of it that way.
Sharon will just want to focus on the hospital plan and upcoming lab results.
While Adam’s in the shower, Nick will drop by and fill Sharon in on how they’ll sneak Adam out following the surgery. Sharon will confess that Rey knows Adam is the donor and has promised not to stand in the way of the surgery.
However, Rey plans to arrest Adam on the spot afterward. Nick will argue that they can worry about that later and will send Sharon to talk to Faith at the hospital.
At ChancComm, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will find a note from Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). It’ll talk about how Billy has to solve the riddles to find the treasure and get a reward of pure pleasure.
Billy will find the first clue in a suite at The Grand Phoenix. The treasure hunt will take Billy to Crimson Lights next, but he’ll stop to talk to Rey briefly.
Billy will acknowledge that they both know about Adam and the donor situation. He’ll get that Faith has to be the priority, but he’ll also warn that Adam will use any opportunity to get off the hook for what he did to Rey.
Billy will want Rey to know that if there’s anything he can do to make sure Adam doesn’t walk again, then just let him know. He’ll be willing to use his powerful company resources as well.
Rey will advise Billy to leave Adam to the cops since he’s a black hole who drags in everything close to him. He’ll urge Billy not to let Adam create a problem there’s no coming back from.
Billy will resume his treasure hunt and find Lily waiting for him with a romantic setup at Society. Lily will congratulate “Sherlock Holmes” and dance with him before they enjoy some Champagne.
Billy will eventually bring up the idea of getting a place together – a little home to call their own. Lily will think that’s one of the best ideas Billy has had and will insist she’d love to.
Back at the ranch on Friday’s Young and the Restless episode, Nikki will point out that Adam’s escape could go wrong. Adam could very well be arrested – and Victor will admit he’s considered that.
Victor will hint about how if the person responsible for poisoning Rey would come forward, there wouldn’t be so many hoops to jump through.
Nikki won’t think Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) is suddenly going to develop a conscience. When Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) name comes up, Nikki will wonder if Victor would really drag his grandson into this.
Victor will insist he’d do anything to protect Connor, “including keeping him out of the clutches of his unhinged mother.”
At the penthouse on Friday’s episode of The Young and the Restless, Chelsea will be in panic mode. She’ll know she has to think fast or she could lose Connor.
Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will warn that Chelsea can’t confess like Victor wants since she’d land behind bars and could potentially lose Connor for good.
Chelsea will fear that Victor might’ve already stolen Connor from his boarding school, but Chloe will shut down that possibility. After Chelsea suggests she’ll pull Connor out of school and bolt, she’ll wonder who she thinks she’s kidding.
“Do I really think I can outrun Victor?” Chelsea will ask aloud. She’ll think Victor’s going to hunt her down wherever she goes, especially if she has Connor with her.
Y&R spoilers say Chloe will argue that Chelsea can disappear with Connor – just like she’s done before. She’ll be concerned for herself as well since she’s an accomplice in all this. Chloe will vow to help Chelsea cover her tracks as long as she stops thinking about confessing.
In Faith’s hospital room, she’ll get reassurance from Sharon before Nate comes in. Faith will admit she wishes Nate could do the surgery – and she’ll wish her kidney was coming from anyone besides Adam.
Nate will acknowledge that Adam’s made mistakes, but he’s doing a good thing for Faith – and Sharon will back Nate up on that once the doc exits.
“Adam doesn’t do good things. He lies and he hurts people,” Faith will insist. She’ll worry this is all some twisted game or that Adam might get scared and run. Faith will also fret over the possibility of Rey arresting Adam before the surgery can even happen.
Back at Sharon’s place, Rey will tell Nick that he won’t stand in the way of Faith’s kidney transplant. Nevertheless, Rey will argue that Nick shouldn’t even think about helping Adam escape after the surgery.
Nick will make it clear that he only cares about getting his daughter the help she needs. “After that, you can do whatever you want,” Nick will say as he breaks his escape promise – and Adam will overhear on the staircase.
Nick will just want reassurance that Rey won’t do anything until after the operation, so Rey will give him his word. Moments later, Adam will appear and have a dramatic stare-down with Rey.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say some exciting developments are still to come in this kidney donor storyline, so stay tuned. CDL will have lots of other great Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news, so stop by regularly.
