The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, September 10, reveals that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will be jealous of Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) while Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) receives a mystery text. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will also be amazed over Ashland’s portrait gift, so here’s what Y&R fans can expect.
At Newman Media, Sharon will apologize to Adam for how she handled things when he came to her looking for help with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey). She’ll be willing to help now, so Adam will be glad they can discuss the best way forward for his son.
Sharon will wonder if Adam and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) are on the same page about their future. She’ll think it’s important for Chelsea and Adam to work all that out before they talk to Connor, who’ll want to know if there’s any hope for reconciliation.
Adam will insist he’s been clear with Chelsea about things being over, but he won’t recall getting a definitive answer about whether she’s in agreement.
Sharon will encourage Adam to sit down with Chelsea and Connor for a family meeting about the separation.
However, Adam won’t know when that’ll be possible since Chelsea is still in Minnesota with Anita Lawson (Catherine Bach). He’ll worry Chelsea could be gone for months and will want to have this talk with Connor on his own.
Adam will also worry about how Chelsea might react since it could cause a setback in her treatment.
As Sharon’s advising Adam on everything, Sally will appear in the doorway and eavesdrop. She’ll overhear Adam thanking Sharon and expressing how glad he is to know Sharon still believes in him.
Sally will ultimately decide to pretend she’s in the dark on this meeting and interrupt to discuss budget numbers.
Adam will push Sally to come back later since this is important, but Sharon will suggest they covered everything anyway.
Once Sharon is gone, Sally will acknowledge that the atmosphere just got chilly in there. She’ll claim she’s sorry for interrupting, but Adam won’t believe that since he saw Sally standing outside the door.
Adam won’t be amused since he was discussing Connor and doesn’t play games when it comes to his kid. Sally will offer a more genuine apology this time and will confess she got jealous.
Sally will mention that she doesn’t make great decisions when the green-eyed monster comes out, but she’ll get that Adam’s past, present and future with Sharon are none of her business.
Adam will insist that’s right and will wonder if the budget talk was legit or just a cover story.
Sally will vow to email the numbers since she’s already taken up too much of Adam’s time. After Sally shuts the door, she’ll shut her eyes and sigh in frustration over how that went.
As for Adam, he’ll call Chelsea and insist they need to talk about the future as well as their son.
Meanwhile, Ashland will fill Victoria in on inviting Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) to the wedding. He’ll also mention that he asked Nate to be his best man, which will surprise Victoria – though she’ll certainly be on board.
Soon after, Ashland’s special delivery will arrive. He’ll suggest it’s a combination of a congratulatory merger gift and a wedding present.
When Victoria sees that it’s her portrait, she’ll be amazed. Since Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) portrait is now in the boardroom, Ashland will think it’s time for Victoria’s painting to take its rightful spot in the CEO office.
Ashland will admit he had trouble convincing a famous artist to do it, but he’ll feel Victoria was worth it.
Ashland will assure Victoria that there’s nothing he won’t do to prove his love to her. “You already have…again and again,” Victoria will insist as she beams at her fiancé.
At Crimson Lights, Nate will talk to Elena about Ashland’s best man request. Although Nate will be flattered, he’ll also think it’s weird considering they don’t even really know each other. Elena will offer up some good reasons why Ashland would choose Nate, so he’ll see her point.
At home, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will tell Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) that their investigative team has turned up nothing. He’ll find that suspicious since it’ll seem like Ashland’s history has been scrubbed.
There’s no record of where Ashland was born or the truth of what happened to Ashland’s parents, Mary and Ian Locke, who supposedly died when Ashland was a teenager.
Billy will point out that there’s no death certificate for them and no birth certificate for Ashland either. “It’s as if he and his family never existed,” Billy will add.
Afterward, Billy and Lily will bump into Nate and Elena at the coffeehouse. After Billy finds out about Elena and Nate having dinner with Victoria and Ashland last night, he’ll get curious.
Billy will be even more curious when he finds out Ashland invited them to the wedding, but Nate and Elena won’t feel comfortable sharing too many details.
Once Billy’s alone with Lily, he’ll find it odd that Ashland has suddenly become Mr. Charming.
Billy will argue that men like Ashland don’t strike up friendships without wanting something in return, so he’ll be suspicious of Ashland’s interest in Nate.
At ChancComm, Billy will get a call about another dead end in the Ashland investigation. He’ll insist it’s almost like Ashland Locke didn’t exist until he met the older woman who became his mentor.
Billy will suspect that Ashland might’ve destroyed his past records, but Lily will wonder why Billy cares if Ashland’s hiding where he came from.
Billy will argue that if he’s right, then the man is a lie along with Ashland’s whole empire. That’s a story people will want to hear, but Billy will think Victoria deserves to know – and that’s really all the motivation he’ll need to seek the truth.
At Society, Victoria will give Nikki updates on the portrait and fret over losing the man she loves before their life together has barely begun.
Nikki will think it’s OK for Victoria to have fears and for her to admit the engagement has been very abrupt. “Are you saying that I should back out of the wedding now?” Victoria will ask in shock.
Finally, Ashland will gaze at Victoria’s portrait before a text comes thought on his phone. “You’re a hard man to keep track of,” the ominous message will say – and Ashland will look uneasy once he sees it.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say some bombshells are coming up thanks to Ashland’s history.
