The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) has a secret, but what is it exactly? Imani initially had a huge problem with Amanda Sinclair (Karla Mosley) and didn’t want her helping with Sutton Ames’ (Jack Landron) case.
Imani later gave Sutton some attitude and then put on a show with Amanda regarding her change of heart.
It’s clear that Imani is working an angle and knows more than she’s letting on. To get to the bottom of what Imani’s hiding, we should examine a few more clues. Naya Benedict’s (Ptosha Storey) husband finally has a first name and is becoming part of this Y&R story.
There was talk about Eric Benedict, Sutton’s son-in-law, who surprised Amanda by being kind and welcoming at the recent family gathering. Eric pointed out a family resemblance in an old photo – and Imani even used Eric as part of her excuse for why she was reluctant to embrace Amanda before.
Imani tried to act like she wasn’t sure how Eric would react, but it’s all good now that he’s fine with Amanda being in their lives. The Young and the Restless is slowly telling us more and more about Eric, we have to wonder if Imani is perhaps protecting her own dad.
Is Eric at the heart of this murder case? Could Imani’s father have killed Amanda’s father, Richard Nealon? The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest Imani would have a strong motive to shield her dad from Amanda’s digging.
Maybe Imani wants to be on the legal defense team to make sure Amanda doesn’t get too close to the truth – namely that Eric ordered Richard’s death.
Naya claims to have gone on and met Eric after her romance with Richard, but that may or may not be true. The Young and the Restless spoilers say no one in Amanda’s new family can really be trusted. Naya could be protecting Eric just as much as Imani seems to be.
It’s also possible Naya was in the dark if Eric was stalking her and killed the competition before they ever got together. However, it’s perhaps more likely that the whole family is in on this deception and keeping Amanda out of the loop.
Eric may have been in the picture before Richard’s murder and made the decision to order the hit.
