The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) could be a secret sperm switcher. Is Stitch the true father of Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) baby? Is that why Stitch is presumably the kidnapper who took Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes)?
Y&R has certainly done stolen sperm plots before – and there might be a good reason to do one now.
Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) volunteered to be the sperm donor and help bring this child into the world, but that never made sense considering his history.
Back when Hilary Curtis Hamilton (Mishael Morgan) approached Devon about donating sperm, he had serious reservations.
Devon insisted he couldn’t walk away from his own flesh and blood, so that led to Devon agreeing to co-parent the child with Hilary.
Of course, things changed once Devon and Hilary fell back in love.
They were going to raise their child together until Hilary lost the baby and ultimately her own life following a tragic car crash.
The point is Devon couldn’t stand by and not be a father to that baby, so how can he stand by and not be a father to this one?
Not to mention Y&R needs to be giving Devon children of his own, not handing them off to be raised by Abby and her flaky husband Chance Chancellor (last played by Donny Boaz).
It’s unfair that Devon lost what would’ve been his firstborn due to Hilary’s accident and now his true firstborn is going to be raised by other parents!
This whole surrogacy storyline feels like it’s about catering to Princess Abby and all her needs.
There’s an easy fix if stalker Stitch has been keeping tabs on Abby ever since he left town.
Stitch seemed surprised by Abby’s surrogacy news, but what if that was all an act?
What if the whole point of Stitch’s return was to target Mariah and kidnap the woman who was going to give birth to HIS child?
Stitch might’ve wanted another baby with Abby since they lost their own after Max Rayburn (Jared Breeze) caused Abby’s miscarriage.
Now Max is fading fast as well, so Stitch might’ve come up with an elaborate scheme to have another kid.
Since this is Abby’s baby and Stitch never got over her, that’d be perfect in his eyes.
Stalkers can pull off some pretty twisted plans when they set their minds to them. Where there’s a will, there’s a way!
We certainly wouldn’t put it past someone to swap out some sperm in Genoa City since it’s been done before.
Did Stitch make sure his own sperm was used instead of Devon’s? Could Stitch be the bio dad – and is that why he’s so fixated on Abby’s impending bundle of joy?
