The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will declare love for Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), so this confession will pull these exes closer despite Phyllis’ commitment to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
During the week of September 6-10, Jack and Phyllis will have a meaningful conversation as they often do. It’s clear that Phyllis and Jack have been leaning on each other more and more lately.
Nick claims he doesn’t feel threatened, but he seems to be fibbing just a bit. Although Nick trusts Phyllis, he knows how powerful the pull of a former flame can be.
Nick has experienced that many times over the years, so he’s no doubt keeping that in the back of his mind. Of course, Phyllis has assured Nick that Jack is just a friend.
Although Phyllis will always consider Jack an important part of her life and someone she has an intense bond with, she’s all in on her relationship with Nick.
That could change once Jack comes clean about his true feelings. It seems Jack might do it inadvertently – just as a spontaneous declaration in the heat of the moment.
Jack may blurt out “I love you” and leave Phyllis stunned as well as uncertain of what to say.
Once Jack senses that he’s made things awkward, Y&R spoilers suggest he’ll end up backtracking later.
Jack may apologize for making Phyllis uncomfortable and contend that he simply meant he loved her as a friend or that their love would never truly go away. Perhaps Jack will feel the need to lie and do damage control.
However, Phyllis will have a hunch that Jack would like more from her.
Deep down, Phyllis would probably want to reunite with Jack if Nick wasn’t in the picture.
Nick couldn’t really get a straight answer when he posed that hypothetical situation, but Jack will always own a piece of Phyllis’ heart.
It’s obvious that things are starting to shift between Jack and Phyllis, so this could build toward a new beginning for this couple.
That would certainly make plenty of “Phack” fans happy, so we’ll see how it goes!
