The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Hunter King) might have a surprise wedding during their upcoming October visit. Will Summer and Kyle get married instead of Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle)?
Ashland is clearly hiding some horrible secrets from Victoria – and you can bet those secrets will come back to bite him big time. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) made some great points recently when she suggested that Victoria loves a dark streak in a man.
Phyllis also pointed out that it’d take more than something like a shady business deal to blow up this marriage.
Ashland’s secrets can’t be about something as simple as money and power. Victoria would just claim Ashland had changed and would want to move forward with him.
It’s looking more and more like Ashland’s keeping some deadly details under wraps. Ashland may have had his older female mentor killed so he could swoop in and acquire those two news stations.
Regardless, it’s hard to believe Ashland and Victoria are actually going to tie the knot under the circumstances. Will Y&R just let their upcoming nuptials go to waste?
There’s a good chance Victoria and Ashland’s grand Tuscany wedding will turn into a simpler one right there in Genoa City. Since Summer and Kyle are set to visit around the time this wedding’s happening, maybe they’ll step up as the new bride and groom.
Some might consider that a bit tacky, but it’s a situation that’s played out before on soaps and could certainly happen again.
After all, Victoria’s guest list is going to be pretty much the same as the guest list that Kyle and Summer would’ve chosen when it comes to their loved ones.
Even if Victoria and Ashland’s ceremony crashes and burns, there’ll be the opportunity for a happy ending if Summer and Kyle say their vows instead.
