The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) relationship is getting more complicated every day. There’s a real spark between these two, so they’ve done their best to work through any disagreements and find a way forward.
Unfortunately, the obstacles just keep piling up. At some point, Billy and Lily may not be able to solve their issues just by talking. Steps need to be taken to ensure their future together, so it’s just a matter of whether Lily and Billy can accept what needs to be done.
Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is certainly a problem since she’s still in love with Billy and would take him back if she had her way. However, Billy is committed to Lily – or so he claims!
That could change down the road, but Victoria doesn’t seem to be the biggest hurdle this couple’s battling right now.
Y&R fans know Billy is impulsive and reckless, so those aren’t usually two desirable qualities when you’ve got a business to run. Lily might be overly cautious at times, but she’s got a good grip on things at Chancellor Communications and knows what she’s doing.
It seems like Billy’s always coming to Lily with some desperate plan that involves huge risks – sometimes with very little reward. At some point, Billy’s luck is going to run out if he keeps this up.
Bily also went behind Lily’s back with that phone call to Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) recently. Billy shrugged it off as just a phone call, but it was the principle of the thing!
Does Billy want to be the kind of guy who sneaks around and tries to maneuver it so Lily can’t intervene? Is that how it’s always going to be if Billy and Lily keep trying to run ChancComm together?
Maybe it’s time for Lily and Billy to accept that it’s not a good idea to mix business with pleasure.
It was fine in the beginning when Lily and Billy were just having fun, but things are serious between them now – and that means one of them might have to make a choice. Could Lily get fed up enough to demand a split one way or the other?
The Young and the Restless spoilers say changes could be brewing, so it’s a possibility to consider.
Lily might insist she can’t work like this and force Billy to choose whether he wants to work together or be a couple – because they may not be able to do both.
Since Lily’s the one with more capable hands here, she might insist on staying in charge. Lily could pull the “it’s me or the company” card and let Billy make his decision!
