The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) may accuse Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) of abandoning Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor and demand the mom role she’s dreaming of. Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will quickly realize she’s going to need some backup to stop a crisis, so here’s what Y&R fans can expect.
During the week of November 15-19, Abby will leave Dominic in Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) care. That news should please Mariah in some ways and upset her in others.
Mariah has been concerned about Dominic being in an environment with such negative energy, so she’ll be glad he’s out of the Chancellor mansion.
At the same time, Mariah is bound to think it’s unfair that Devon is the one caring for Dominic. Devon may be Dominic’s biological father, but he doesn’t have legal rights here.
Of course, Mariah is currently living in a hotel room, so it’s not like she’s in the position where she could take Dominic in – nor should she since she’s too attached to the baby as it is.
Even so, Mariah’s going to spiral a bit and may even think she should move in with Devon as well.
Mariah might argue that she should serve as a fill-in mother figure since Abby bailed on her son. The fact that Abby just left like that may leave Mariah appalled.
Tessa will once again struggle since she’ll want to be patient and understanding, but she also can’t let Mariah get too caught up in any motherhood fantasies when it comes to Dominic. Mariah was merely the surrogate, so her job is done.
Although Mariah will always have a special bond with this child, she can’t become overly invested and think she’s actually going to be Dominic’s mom.
Since Tessa will struggle to get through to Mariah on that, she’ll get in touch with Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) and hope he’ll know what to do.
Noah has a way of calming the people he loves down and dishing out some good advice, so let’s hope this joint effort from Noah and Tessa will prove helpful.
