The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) likely have an engagement in their future, so could their wedding plans force Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) to let go of his former flame?
Noah fell hard for another woman in London and got his heart shattered into a million pieces. It’s clear that this girl really messed Noah up – perhaps to the point where he’s longing for simpler days and craving a familiar connection with Tessa.
It’s too scary for Noah to put his heart out there again with someone completely new, so that’s part of why he’s drawn to Tessa now and wondering what might’ve been.
Despite his denial to Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster), Noah’s struggling to move on now that he’s back in town and witnessing Tessa’s relationship with Mariah right in front of him.
However, Tessa hasn’t shown any signs that she’s interested in rekindling things with Noah. Although Tessa and Noah had a nice bond years ago, there was nothing deep happening on Tessa’s end.
Tessa confessed to Mariah that she had her eye on a Newman fortune and wasn’t truly in love with Noah.
Besides, Tessa isn’t into guys and seems focused on her future with Mariah – especially now that they’re revisiting the baby idea.
Tessa and Mariah will dive deeper with an adoption discussion during the week of December 20-24, but they seem to be skipping some steps here. What about an engagement and marriage?
It’d be different if Mariah and Tessa were against those things, but they’ve both expressed interest in tying the knot. It just makes sense for Tessa and Mariah to cement their relationship before bringing a baby into the picture.
While Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) was dealing with her cancer crisis, Tessa nearly blurted out a marriage proposal that Mariah shut down with a kiss.
Mariah couldn’t take on any more life changes at the time, but she was certainly open to an engagement somewhere down the line.
Of course, Mariah and Tessa’s future was eventually put on hold since Mariah signed up to help Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) become a mom.
That led to the surrogacy, Mariah’s kidnapping drama and all the attachment issues that have followed with Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor.
The chaos is thankfully winding down, so that gives Mariah and Tessa a chance to concentrate on their own lives again. That could involve an engagement soon or at least unofficial talk about their looming marriage.
Tessa and Mariah may ultimately mull over some wedding plans, which could help Noah see that any dreams he might’ve had for a Tessa reunion need to die.
