The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson) recently shared some exciting news about a family addition. On Instagram, Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson) showed off her baby bump in a new pic April 6, 2021, and admitted she’s indeed pregnant.
Egan also got honest in her post about the challenges of getting to this point. She’s opened up in the past about her miscarriage struggles, so it’s been a long, hard road to find this place of baby bliss. However, Egan’s now looking forward to welcoming her new bundle of joy with her husband, Matt Katrosar.
Let’s look at what Egan had to say in her heartfelt baby announcement. “Very excited to share, Baby Boy Katrosar is set to arrive at the end of August,” Egan said. “As happy as we are, the journey to get here has been filled with lots of tears, stress, sadness, helplessness, hopelessness, and 2 miscarriages.”
Egan went on to offer encouragement to anybody else out there who might be going through similar problems. The Y&R star wanted to make sure no one felt alone in a time of crisis, so it’s great that Egan’s speaking out and helping those who might be fighting to overcome the same obstacles.
“To anyone going through this process or any kind of fertility issues, I feel you, I see you, you’re not alone,” Egan said. “I wish I could jump through this phone and give you a big hug. Please do not give up hope. Keep trusting and have faith. You got this!!!”
Of course, The Young and the Restless fans are thrilled for Egan and Katrosar as they get ready to welcome their new son. Egan received plenty of supportive comments once she filled everyone in on the baby and her excitement.
Some of Egan’s Y&R costars naturally chimed in with some positive messages as well. Bryton James (Devon Hamilton), Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor), Michael Mealor (Kyle Abbott) and others were quick to offer their congratulations on the bun in the oven.
