The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, August 16, tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will learn Harrison Locke’s (Kellen Enriquez) future while Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) deals with some Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) insecurities. Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will also focus on the next step in his life, so let’s discuss what’s ahead in Monday’s surprising show.
First, Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will get on a video chat with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) so that they can discuss what’s best for Harrison.
Kyle’s hoping to raise Harrison in Italy with Summer, but Ashland’s holding all the cards right now.
Although Kyle is Harrison’s bio dad, Ashland is still the boy’s legal father and can dictate what the future holds for the time being.
Ashland will tell Kyle and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) that if his treatment fails, he’d want to know he spent this remaining time with Harrison.
However, Y&R spoilers hint that Ashland could end up making a rather unexpected decision – and letting Harrison stay with Kyle and Summer in Milan would definitely be unexpected.
Perhaps Ashland will work out a compromise of some sort since Harrison has already grown quite attached to his new daddy.
Over with Lily, she’ll deal with some persistent worries about Victoria and what she means to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
Lily knows Victoria is happy with Ashland, but she doesn’t know how long their relationship will last due to the uncertainty of his new treatment.
Lily also realizes Billy may never fully shake Victoria and the hold she has on him. It’s almost like Victoria will always have a little sliver of Billy’s heart, so Lily may just have to learn to live with it.
Whatever the case, Lily will find herself wondering if true closure will ever be possible for Billy and Victoria.
They’re forever going to be in each other’s lives due to their children, so Lily has a reason to fret over Victoria and Billy perhaps reconnecting one day.
In the meantime, Devon will concentrate on the next step – most likely meaning in his relationship with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan).
Now that Amanda and Devon have exchanged love confessions, living together could be just around the corner.
Devon offered Amanda a spare key if she wanted to come and go from the penthouse as she pleased. They never followed up on that conversation, but maybe this could be their chance.
Devon might officially ask Amanda to move in soon since he’s crazy about her and she spends a great deal of her time at his place anyway.
Regardless, Devon is all in on his relationship with Amanda, who seems equally committed to their future. We’ll provide updates as other Y&R news pops up.
