The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, August 23 Recap – Ashland’s Twin Towers Plan Unsettles Victoria – Sally’s Secret

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, August 23, reveals that Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) twin towers plan will unsettle Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) while Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) sketches a secret design. Here’s what Y&R fans can look forward to on Monday’s exciting show.

At Crimson Lights, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will agree that they really don’t know anything about Ashland and his past.

Between that and Victoria’s track record with men – Billy included – Nick will think there’s a reason to be concerned.

Since Victoria and Ashland already live together, Nick won’t see why they have to rush to the altar.

Billy will eventually assume Nick wants him to use ChancComm’s resources to dig for dirt and bear the brunt if it blows up in his face. Nick will suggest Billy’s going to dig with or without his encouragement and will saunter out.

At home, Ashland will talk to Victoria about the official launch of their conglomerate in one month. He’ll have a surprise for Victoria and will show her a rendering of their new headquarters: the Newman-Locke corporate canvas.

Ashland will be excited over plans for a second identical tower, but Victoria will seem uneasy despite saying it’s great.

At the ranch, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will give orders to one of his minions about looking into Ashland’s past. He’ll insist this assignment is second only to finding Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes).

When Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) finds out Victor is moving ahead with his digging, she’ll fret over him doing more damage to his relationship with Victoria.

However, Victor will feel like Victoria needs to know everything about Ashland if she’s going to marry him.

At The Grand Phoenix, Ashland will approach Phyllis to talk about a gym membership and spa treatments – though he’ll think they should take it one month at a time.

After Ashland thanks Phyllis for exposing Tara, he’ll suggest they got off on the wrong foot and would like to rectify that.

Ashland will hope Phyllis can help him win over her boyfriend and will mention his recent run-in with Nick. When Ashland invites Phyllis to weigh in, she’ll talk about true love being hard to find.

Phyllis will think you have to hold onto it, so Ashland will hope she can convince Nick he’s found a rare true love with Victoria.

Later, Phyllis will bring Nick up to speed on her chat with Ashland. She’ll think Nick would be better off butting out of Victoria’s business since she’s going to do what she wants anyway.

Nick will point out that Phyllis is asking him not to meddling when he’s worried about someone he loves, so she’ll get that she’s being rather hypocritical.

Even so, Phyllis will feel like there’s going to be blowback that Nick needs to avoid. Nick will concede that perhaps Phyllis is right and that he should just let Billy torpedo this marriage instead.

At ChancComm, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will catch Billy doing research on his laptop. Billy will lie about what it’s for, so Lily will quickly get the feeling that he’s hiding something.

After Billy admits this is about looking into Ashland’s past, Lily will assume he wants to find some “heinous, unforgivable sin” that’ll stop the wedding.

At Society, Sally will snap at Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) when he finds her at the bar. Sally will confess her foul mood is about Phyllis, who sent a massive bill for extras at her second-rate hotel.

Once Sally grumbles about Phyllis sticking it to her one last time, she’ll vow to get payback on Phyllis for ruining her life.

However, Adam won’t really see how Phyllis ruined anything for Sally. He’ll think Sally’s better off at Newman Media and will suggest the best revenge is to make her haters watch her rise.

Next, Victoria will go over some wedding plans with Nikki at a nearby table. Sally will eavesdrop as Victoria describes the exact wedding dress she has in mind.

Afterward, Chloe will find Sally in the park and will learn that Adam stopped her from making a vengeful mistake.

Sally will rattle off ideas for the fashion platform, but Chloe will have a hunch that she’s hiding something.

After Sally admits she’s going to convince Victoria to let her design her wedding dress, she’ll talk about the sketch and all the buzz this event will bring.

Sally will think this is a good way to put Newman Media’s fashion platform on the map.

Although Chloe will admire Sally’s talent and drive, she’ll seriously doubt Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) aunt is going to let her anywhere near her wedding plans.

Sally will smile mischievously about how telling her can’t do something only makes her more determined.

Back with Nikki, she’ll wonder if Ashland intends to take on an active role at the company following the honeymoon.

Nikki will make Victoria uncomfortable, but Victoria will argue that it’s just because there are so many unknowns regarding Ashland’s condition and treatment.

Victoria will mention the merger being finalized in one month, but she’ll quickly shift the focus back to the wedding.

Once Victoria’s back home, she’ll look at Ashland’s plans for the twin towers again and sport a worried expression. At Newman Media, Victor will visit Adam in his office to deliver a warning.

Victor will admit he heard Adam was trying to lure some Locke Communications employees away now that they were relocating to Genoa City.

Victor will insist that’s out of bounds and will remind Adam that he’s now allowed to undermine his sister or endanger the merger.

Adam will note that Victor made that clear – just like he made it clear that Adam was the one in charge.

After Adam argues that Victor is merely an advisor, he’ll contend that he’s not going to miss out on a goldmine of talent because Victor doesn’t want to hurt Victoria’s feelings.

Victor will smirk and acknowledge that Adam’s his son all right! That said, Victor and Adam will push each other to keep their personal feelings out of their business dealings.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Ashland’s secrets are bound to lead to more drama, so stay tuned.
