The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, December 13 Recap – Chance’s Sad Confession – Noah Grills Adam

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, December 13, teases that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will make a sad confession – and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will feel selfish after making an admission of his own. Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) will also grill Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) about his love life, so here’s what Y&R viewers can look forward to.

At the Chancellor mansion, Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will find a romantic setup waiting for her after dealing with a fussy Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor.

After talking and laughing with Chance for a while, they’ll share a dance before making love on the sofa.

As Chance canoodles with Abby afterward, he’ll be sorry for leaving her so abruptly to go on his mission.

Chance thought he was doing his duty at the time, but he’ll suggest there was more to it now that he’s looking back. He’ll confess that he felt like he failed Abby because he couldn’t give her a baby.

Abby will insist Chance still gave her Dominic since he gave her the courage to go for it. They got a little help bringing Dominic into the world, but she’ll feel confident Chance is going to be an amazing father.

Chance will promise Abby that he’s never going to prioritize work over family again. He’ll be determined to find a better balance once he returns to the PCPD.

Although Abby will assure Chance that she doesn’t want him to change for her, he’ll seem uneasy. After Abby falls asleep on the couch, Chance will leave her a note about getting some air and head to Society’s bar.

At the penthouse, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will surprise Devon with a homemade dinner. She’ll also convince Devon to open up about how much he misses Dominic.

Devon will be happy Chance is back, but it’ll be hard since he was starting to believe Dominic would call him dad one day. He’ll still need to figure out how to let that idea go and will feel selfish over the struggle.

Amanda will give Devon plenty of reassurance, but he’ll seem deep in thought once he’s alone.

Later, Devon will end up at Society’s bar with Chance, who’ll admit he’s not OK. Chance will confess that it’s tough to keep pretending otherwise and will feel like he let Abby down before the baby was even born.

Chance won’t be sure he deserves this great life he’s been given. He’ll acknowledge the commitments he’s made and will try to honor them, but he’ll wonder if he can.

At The Grand Phoenix, Noah will agree to join Adam for a drink. When Noah asks about Adam’s love life, Adam will suggest he’s focused on business and his son.

Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) name will come up, but Adam will assure Noah that she’s just a colleague. He’ll be curious if Noah is interested in Sally, but Noah will deny that.

When talk turns to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan, Adam will admit that the way they flamed out scared him off relationships altogether.

After Noah mentions his earlier chat with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), he’ll please Adam by accepting the offer for additional work at Newman Media.

At the ranch, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will be annoyed when he realizes Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) sent him a text about a phony emergency.

Nikki will insist the holidays are rapidly approaching, so this will be her intervention to make Nick and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) work things out.

Once Nikki leaves the room, Nick will complain about Victor’s support being conditional. He’ll still be upset over being left out of the loop in Tuscany, but Victor won’t think Nick would’ve liked it if he asked for advice and dismissed it.

Victor will refuse to apologize for making sure Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle) had a happy wedding. Victor will also mention how his upbringing made it so he’s used to making decisions for himself.

Things will get heated, but Victor will eventually calm down and insist they can disagree without disrespecting each other. He’ll admit it hurt when Nick ignored him, but Nick will argue that he’s genuinely been trying to work through all this.

Nick will suggest that maybe the problem is that they’re too similar rather than too different.

Victor will basically tell Nick that he is who he is and that’s not going to change. He’ll promise he’d give up his life for any of his children and will be proud of the father Nick’s become to his own kids.

Victor will suggest that whatever good he’s done in life can in part be attributed to Nikki, who’ll seem touched as she listens in.

Nick will soften as he tells Victor not to sell himself short. He’ll end up sharing a nice father-son moment with Victor as they hug it out.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say the Newman family has more drama ahead, but at least Victor and Nick are getting past this bump in the road.
