The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, December 6, teases that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will pressure Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) after Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) sets a trap for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will also fire back after getting snubbed on a video call again, so here’s what Y&R fans can look forward to.
At the Chancellor mansion, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will seem distracted, but he’ll assure Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) that he’s all right.
Chance will hate that he wasn’t around to help deal with the Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) situation before Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor was born, but Abby will just be glad he’s safe and home now.
Abby will mention Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) plans for a homecoming bash, so Chance won’t be thrilled about facing all those people.
Although Abby will suggest they can cancel, Chance will realize she’s already agreed to the party. He won’t seem like he wants to let anyone down, so he’ll assure Abby that it’s fine and will initiate an offscreen reunion in the bedroom.
Next, Chance and Abby will be looking all spiffy in their party clothes.
After Chance holds Dominic and offers him a bottle, Abby will reflect on what a great friend Devon was while Chance was gone. She’ll offer plenty of praise since Devon was so supportive and really stepped up for Dominic.
At Society, Billy won’t be interested in having Sally join him at the bar. Sally will take a seat anyway and will try to offer a little comfort from one pariah to another.
Sally will shut down Billy’s assumption that she’s dating Adam and will offer a coffee as an alternative to the alcohol he’s drinking.
Billy will admit his own mother doesn’t trust him now, but he’ll be cagey about the details since Sally could go running to her “platonic boss.”
However, Sally will imply that she’s strictly coming from a place of compassion and will think Billy has a good heart despite it not being a popular opinion.
Once Sally exits, it’ll become clear that Billy actually wanted Sally to run back to Adam with info. Billy will hope to himself that Sally tells her boss all about his “pathetic state.”
Over with Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle), she’ll run into Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) at the coffeehouse and get updates on Abby finding Chance alive.
After Victor mentions the party and his hope that everyone can put their differences aside, Victoria will think they need to discuss ChancComm.
Victor will insist he’s OK with Victoria’s offer just as long as it’s not about saving Billy. He’ll seem satisfied when Victoria explains it’s about business and will hope to see her at Chance’s welcome home bash later.
At The Grand Phoenix, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will be doing some party prep with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) when Adam arrives. Nikki will casually bring up Chance’s return until it becomes apparent Adam didn’t know.
Although Adam won’t be able to make it to the party, he’ll plan to call Chance and Abby later.
Adam will also meet up with Noah and take him back to his office at Newman Media, where Noah will turn down the offer for more work. However, Adam will think it’d be a good diversion from whatever Noah ran from in London.
Adam will get Noah to at least think about it – and Noah will admit that despite his wariness, it’d be hard not to see the change in Adam.
Sally will barge in with news to spill, but she’ll clam up when she realizes she’s interrupted a meeting.
After Noah and Sally remember meeting in Tuscany, Sally will hope he might be willing to do some work for the fashion platform. Adam will pipe up that he has other projects for Noah to do first if they can bring him on board.
Sally will suggest that if Noah lets her bend his ear, he might be convinced. Noah will seem amused over how hard Sally’s working for this, but Adam will privately imply Sally was rather pushy.
Sally will find it odd that Adam suddenly doesn’t approve of her tactics, but they’ll move past it and discuss the latest Billy drama.
Adam will remind Sally that he asked her to stay out of it, but she’ll insist her run-in with Billy was purely accidental. Sally will wonder if Adam’s goal was doing major psychological damage and will feel sorry for Billy since he was in such a sad state at the bar.
Adam will act like Sally should save her sympathy, but he’ll direct his attention to Chelsea’s video call moments later.
After Adam says he’s in a meeting with Sally and asks if he can call back, Chelsea will seem offended that Adam can’t make time to talk about their son. She’ll sarcastically urge Adam to call back at his convenience before disconnecting.
At Sally’s urging, Adam will decide to call back and wrap up his chat with Sally another time.
Meanwhile, Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will summon Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to Victoria’s office in hopes of clearing the air. Nick will be rude and hateful despite Ashland’s genuine attempt to move forward.
After Nick refuses to give Ashland a pass for his secrets and immoral behavior, he’ll guess the rest of the family is willing to because of Ashland’s illness.
Nick will act like if he found out tomorrow that Ashland wasn’t sick, he’d wonder if it was a lie Ashland cooked up from the beginning.
Victor will admit he appreciates the honesty, but Victoria certainly won’t appreciate the threat she walks in on! Nick will warn Ashland that he’ll have an enemy for life if he dares to hurt or take advantage of Victoria, but his sister will overhear and lash out.
Nick will hear the latest on Chance and will take offense over being left out of the loop. Before Nick goes, Victoria will encourage Nick to take a look in the mirror and see that maybe his own behavior is the root of his problem.
Victoria will feel like Nick always thinks he’s right and constantly blames others, so she’ll hope he can see his pattern of alienating people.
Once Ashland is alone with Victoria, he’ll hint that maybe she was being a bit harsh. Ashland will respect the love between the siblings and will think the thought of death has changed him, but Victoria will shut down all the death talk and focus on optimism.
At their condo, Billy will find Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) stressing over all the meetings and work she has to do ahead of the CEO transition. Lily will worry she’s not qualified, but Billy will have total faith in her and will promise Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) does, too.
Back at The Grand Phoenix, Nikki will act like Phyllis seems to be doing perfectly fine in the aftermath of her split with Nick.
However, Phyllis will be offended since Nikki can’t possibly know what’s going on inside her head. Nikki will apologize before Phyllis points out how easy it is to judge from the outside looking in.
After Victor joins Nikki, Victoria and Ashland will show up for the welcome home party – though Victoria won’t be sure Nick is coming. Chance will pause with Abby outside briefly before they waltz in to cheers from the crowd.
