The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, January 18, tease that the tension between Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will continue to lift.
Y&R fans know Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) crisis brought a turning point in Adam and Victor’s relationship. Since Adam was desperate, he let his guard down and finally started accepting help from his father.
Things aren’t perfect between Adam and Victor, but Victor never expected them to be. He just wanted to assist his son, so he pulled strings at the hospital and secured a highly recommended specialist for Chelsea.
Now Adam’s feeling both grateful and vulnerable, so that’ll be the ideal mix for Adam to continue leaning on his dad.
On Monday, Victor will share a nice moment with Adam and offer more support. Adam may open up about how frustrated he is over Chelsea’s lack of progress. It breaks Adam’s heart since Chelsea’s mind is fine, but her body’s stuck in this difficult state.
Adam knows that Chelsea must feel trapped – and he feels trapped as well since there’s not much he can do right now.
Although Victor will hate what Chelsea’s going through and how it’s affecting Adam, he’ll be pleased that his son’s open to reconnecting like this. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor will feel like his wish for a bond with Adam is being granted, but we’ll see how they can keep this up!
In the meantime, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will show her supportive side once again. Y&R fans will see Mariah help out a pal, so she may give Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) one last pep talk before her procedure – or perhaps while Abby’s anxiously awaiting the results.
Whatever the case, Abby will get some difficult updates along with Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) on Monday. It looks like Abby’s scar tissue from her previous miscarriage is indeed the problem – and unfortunately, there’s no fix for it.
Abby will find out she’ll be unable to carry a baby, so viewers will see tears, anger and everything else Abby’s feeling.
Chance will be there for Abby – and so will more of Abby’s loved ones later in the week. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Abby and Chance will have to process this news and figure out alternative family solutions sooner or later.
