The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, January 3, tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will get caught in a compromising situation while Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) thinks back on memories of the last year. Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will also confess to Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway), so here’s what fans can expect.
We should point out that Y&R will be preempted on Friday, December 31. That means it’ll be Monday before the show gets back to some juicy shockers and shakeups, but we’ve got the scoop on what’s ahead.
For starters, Sharon and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will celebrate their anniversary with a trip down memory lane. As Sharon enjoys some sweet moments with her husband, she’ll think back on all the highs and lows of 2021.
Rey and Sharon will be glad they’ve been able to weather the storms throughout their marriage and come out stronger on the other side. They’ll hope 2022 will bring even more chances to show each other the depth of their love.
Next, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will make a discovery that she finds rather scandalous.
It looks like Chelsea will catch Adam and Sally in a close moment, so this should tie in with their movie night and brainstorming session at the office.
It’ll be complete with Halloween decorations to go with their Hitchcock film theme and Sally’s quirky vibe.
Chelsea might even walk in on Sally and Adam on the verge of a kiss, but she’ll fume no matter what!
Adam will ultimately speak to Chelsea alone and set her straight on what’s appropriate.
Of course, Adam hasn’t made any big romantic commitment to Sally and has been trying to keep things professional.
Even so, Adam will feel the need to nail down firm boundaries with Chelsea, who only needs to be brought in the loop when co-parenting is a factor.
Chelsea will sense that Adam’s open to Sally being part of Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) world eventually.
That’ll rile Chelsea up even more as she demands answers about Adam’s true feelings.
Chelsea will push Adam to admit he’s falling for Sally, but he’ll think his former flame needs to cool it and worry about herself.
Meanwhile, Chance will make a difficult confession. He’ll open up to Abby about his concerns and may feel completely inadequate as a dad to Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware).
Abby will comfort Chance and give him a pep talk, but he’ll really be struggling – perhaps enough to suggest Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) might have the right idea about shared custody.
However, Abby will continue to have faith in Chance and his ability to get the hang of fatherhood eventually.
That means there’s more tension to come between Abby and Devon as they fight over Dominic’s future.
