The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, July 26 Recap – Sharon’s Stuck on Ex, Calls Rey ‘Adam’ – Chelsea Surrenders Connor

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, July 26, reveals that Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) name mix-up will reveal she’s stuck on her ex. Meanwhile, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will be forced to surrender Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), so here’s what Y&R fans can expect in Monday’s show.

At home, Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will reassure Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) that he has no regrets about the merger. He’ll get frustrated when Victoria pushes treatment to help with the anxiety, but she’ll insist what’s happening between them is getting deeper.

Victoria will want this to last as long as possible, but Ashland will remain against side effects in exchange for adding such little time to his life.

After Victoria makes Ashland some restorative tea, she’ll apologize for being a bit manipulative by pushing for treatment.

However, Victoria will promise that if Ashland managed to score extra time, she’d personally see to it that it was a gift.

At The Grand Phoenix, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will be “1,000 percent” sure that Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) are working together.

Phyllis will tell Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) as they discuss how Tara didn’t want to give up her gilded lifestyle, so she went after Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).

Phyllis will admit it was soul-crushing to hear that Summer Newman (Hunter King) recommended Sally as her JCV replacement.

Billy will wonder if Phyllis thinks Sally forced Summer’s hand somehow. Phyllis won’t be sure, but she’ll know they have to expose all the manipulation and bring her daughter home.

Billy will ask if Phyllis is certain that’s what Summer wants. Billy will suggest that maybe Sally and Tara just hastened the demise of Summer’s relationship, but Phyllis will refuse to accept Billy’s pessimistic view.

Phyllis will start to cry as she declares that Tara and Sally pushed Summer out of town. She’ll add that they have to expose the scheme and will refuse to let this stand.

At the Abbott mansion, Tara won’t seen keen on Kyle’s suggestion of taking Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) to a pool party at The Grand Phoenix.

Tara will admit it’s because of Phyllis, who doesn’t like her very much. When Tara says Phyllis thinks she’s responsible for Summer taking that job in Italy, Kyle’s response will surprise her.

“You are responsible,” Kyle will insist. However, Kyle will apologize if that came out wrong. He’ll just mean that the burden of everything was too much for Summer to handle.

Kyle will admit that part of him wants to think there’s more to it, but he’ll guess that perhaps he ignored the warning signs.

Kyle will add that Summer broke his heart in ways he couldn’t have dreamed of, but he’ll assure Tara that’s not her fault.

Since Kyle will be focused on making things better for Harrison, he’ll think they should ask Sharon for advice.

Kyle will suggest Sharon could offer tips on how to talk to Harrison about Ashland’s illness. Tara will act amazed by all the ways Kyle works to help their son and will declare him the best father.

At Crimson Lights, a distracted Sharon will spill salt while filling the shakers. When Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) and Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) appear, they’ll start talking about the upcoming concert.

Sharon will suggest that maybe Adam will be back from Minnesota by then, but Faith will assume her mom means Rey. After Sharon gets all flustered, she’ll end up leaving Faith in charge while she runs errands.

Later, Sharon will offer Kyle and Tara some guidance on the Harrison situation. She’ll think the best thing is for Ashland and Tara to talk to Harrison about his illness together. Sharon will note that they should be loving, gentle and above all truthful.

Kyle will think that’s exactly what they needed to hear, but Tara won’t seem so sure after Sharon’s gone. She’ll act like Ashland’s going to cause problems because of her push for sole custody.

Kyle will defend Ashland somewhat and suggest that maybe a compromise could be reached.

Tara will complain about living under a microscope, but Kyle will argue that no one is judging her. Tara will disagree since Ashland resents her and Phyllis has crazy ideas about her motives.

Tara will point out that Phyllis is trying to get her to admit to something. Tara will worry that Kyle and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) are going to start judging her, too.

Kyle will offer plenty of reassurance and will even vow to handle Phyllis. He’ll just feel like this stalemate with Ashland has to end for Harrison’s sake – and deep down, Kyle will think Tara agrees.

After Tara calls Ashland to summon him for a meeting, she’ll let Kyle know she wants to fly solo on this.

Once Ashland arrives, he’ll bicker with Tara. She’ll argue that she’s making an effort, but Ashland will call Tara out for her move to keep him away from Harrison.

Back with Kyle, he’ll corner Phyllis at The Grand Phoenix and demand to know “what the hell” she’s doing to Tara.

At Newman Media, Adam will get on a video chat with Chelsea. He’ll get some Anita Lawson (Catherine Bach) recovery updates and suggest it’s time to start talking about when to bring Connor home.

Connor’s lacrosse camp is scheduled to start in a few days, so Adam won’t think it’s fair to uproot the kid’s schedule.

Chelsea will protest since she’s just now getting a chance to bond with Connor again. She’ll rattle off things she wants to do with Connor like attend the video game exhibit and visit the zoo.

Adam will insist that there’ll be plenty of time for Chelsea and Connor to reconnect in Genoa City later. For now, Adam will want Connor to travel home with Rey in a couple days.

Chelsea will beg Adam to let Connor stay longer, but Adam will insist that she can video chat with her son.

Adam will add that it won’t be long until Connor and Chelsea can see each other again. In the end, Chelsea will relent and determine that Adam’s right.

Afterward, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will report for her first day at Newman Media.

Chloe won’t be sure if she’s brave or crazy and will check Adam’s office for booby traps. When Chloe learns Connor’s coming home already, she’ll seem upset about that.

Adam won’t think he owes Chloe an explanation and will shift the conversation to the online fashion platform. Chloe will worry this is one big mind game, so Adam will pretend she’s right – that it was all a trap.

After Adam acts like he’s throwing Chloe out of his office, she’ll lash out about how he hasn’t changed “one damn bit.”

Chloe will pipe up about how she’s not going anywhere since they have a legit contract. Adam will call Chloe’s attention to the key to her new office, which will be in an envelope on the desk.

Chloe will settle down when she realizes Adam was messing with her. She’ll confirm that they’re going to work together, but she won’t think Adam should hold his breath about her coming around on him.

At the coffeehouse, Moses will talk to Faith about the career options he’s mulling over. He’ll note that medicine is great intellectually, but he’ll seem to be leaning toward music when Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) walks in.

Faith will get Moses to clam up and will get Nate an espresso while the guys talk.

Nate will just want Moses to think long and hard about what he really wants – and what he’d be giving up if he walked away from medicine.

Faith will pipe up that they can all agree Moses should do what makes him happiest.

In the park, Adam will startle Sharon after she leaves a voicemail for Rey. Sharon will ask if Adam’s following her now, but he’ll point out it’s a public park.

Adam will wonder what’s got Sharon all spooked, so she’ll confess it was their previous conversation.

Sharon will point out that she’s not drawn to either side – good Adam or bad Adam.

Chelsea will assure her ex that she only feels pulled toward Rey and will warn Adam not to rope her into talking about their history. Adam will seem a little bewildered as Sharon walks away.

Back at Crimson Lights, Faith will wonder if Sharon’s OK since she was acting off earlier.

Sharon will act like she’s just worried about Rey and can’t get him home soon enough! She’ll still seem frazzled as she steps in the backroom.

At Society, Victoria will pick Nate’s brain regarding treatment for her friend with small-cell lung carcinoma.

Nate will realize this is about Ashland, but Victoria will want to leave names out of it. When Victoria finds out Billy approached Nate as well, she won’t be surprised.

Billy will eavesdrop as Victoria works to learn more about options that might be available. Nate will acknowledge that with this kind of cancer, they’re talking about a low probability of success and small amounts of time added.

Victoria will think there must be new drugs and different approaches out there, so Nate will agree to confer with his colleagues and see what he can find out.

As other Y&R news comes in, we’ll keep you posted. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victoria will keep working to extend Ashland’s life, but is he being honest about his condition?

CDL will have lots of other great Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news, so pop back in soon.
