The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, May 10, reveals that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will assure Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) was behind the poisoning plot.
Adam will note that he owes Rey an apology for what happened with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), but Rey will suggest Adam shouldn’t expect this kidney to buy his freedom.
After Rey insists he’s going to arrest Adam for attempted murder following the surgery, Adam will admit he expected nothing less. At the hospital, Sharon will reassure Faith about Adam going through with the transplant.
Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will enter with good news since the test results came back and confirm Adam is a compatible donor.
In Amanda Sinclair’s (Karla Mosley) suite, she’ll be full of gratitude over the time she spent with her new family over the weekend.
Amanda will talk to Sutton Ames (Jack Landron) about how accepted she felt before he hands over some copies of old family photos, which Amanda will cherish.
Sutton will be sorry that Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) didn’t attend the gathering, but he’ll promise she’s going to come around. After the conversation shifts to the rejected plea deal, Amanda will feel confident she can get a much lesser charge and sentence.
However, Sutton will insist he’s not pleading guilty under any circumstances.
Amanda will think they need to rehash the prosecution’s evidence, but Sutton will argue that it’s all circumstantial and will add that this case is politically motivated.
When Amanda wants to know more about Richard Nealon, Sutton will argue that he didn’t talk to him and wasn’t keeping tabs. Just knowing Richard was out of Naya Benedict’s (Ptosha Storey) life was good enough.
Amanda will decide to ask Naya about Richard instead and try to get a sense of who he really was. Sutton will note that it’ll interest Amanda beyond this case, but Amanda will make it clear that the case is her priority.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Amanda will share a warm moment with Sutton before he heads out.
At Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, he’ll be surprised when Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) returns home from school on his lunch break.
Moses will convince Devon to call the school so he can miss a couple classes and be there for Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) once she wakes up from her surgery.
Afterward, Devon will wind up at The Grand Phoenix. He’ll watch as Sutton and Imani have a tense interaction in the lobby, but he won’t be able to hear.
Sutton will snap at Imani for blowing off the family gathering and will add that shouldn’t antagonize Amanda, but Imani will needle him about being so protective of his new granddaughter. Imani will suggest she might surprise Sutton.
Devon will text Amanda to give her a warning about Imani’s imminent arrival, so Amanda will be prepared when she opens her hotel room door. Imani will claim she’s there to beg for forgiveness and apologize.
Imani will suggest she was worried about how her father, Eric Benedict, would react to Amanda, but he was welcoming and it all turned out fine.
Amanda will wonder how she’s really supposed to believe any of this, but Imani will act like she truly wants to make things up to her half-sister. She’ll even offer to help on the case since she graduated law school and never got around to taking the bar exam.
Amanda will agree to consider the offer and will thank Imani for the apology, but she won’t look convinced by it at all.
Next, Devon will pop in and admit he saw an intense conversation between Imani and Sutton. He’ll think their body language was off – like they were conspiring. Amanda will fill Devon in on Imani’s sudden turnaround, but she won’t buy it.
In fact, Amanda will think she’s starting to see the hold Sutton has on his family. Amanda will be inclined to accept the legal help offer to see what’s really going on with Imani.
At the ranch, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will receive updates about Adam being a compatible donor. Moments later, Chelsea will arrive and demand to speak with Victor alone.
Once Nikki exits, Chelsea will push Victor to tell her where Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) is. She’ll rant about how Connor isn’t returning her texts, which is unusual for him.
Victor will argue that maybe Connor’s busy with school, so Chelsea will admit that maybe she’s overreacting.
Regardless, Chelsea will refuse to be Victor’s scapegoat for Adam’s crimes. She’ll insist that if she confesses, she’s still going to lose Connor. Chelsea won’t see how she can win, but Victor will counter that she’s wrong about that. He’ll contend that they can all win and will add that he’s arranged it.
Victor will point out that the truth’s going to come out either way, so he’ll think Chelsea has to decide whether they’ll be allies or enemies when that happens.
Meanwhile, Faith will worry since she won’t have time to write any letters and tell anyone how she feels. Sharon will realize Faith’s worried about something going wrong during the surgery, so she’ll offer more reassurance.
In the waiting area, Rey will hover as Adam fills out some forms. Adam will suggest that if he didn’t know any better, he’d think Rey was sorry he came back at all.
Adam won’t think that makes sense considering Rey’s going to get everything he wanted: Faith’s recovery, Sharon’s happiness and Adam behind bars.
Adam will add that Rey must’ve liked it better when he was a fugitive. It gave Rey a quest, but now Sharon’s going to feel sorry for Adam since she knows he’s not guilty. Adam will hint that Rey should put him back in the wind, but Rey will insist there’s not a chance.
Faith will request a moment with Adam before the surgery, so he’ll come in and get some appreciative words from her. Adam will be sorry for all the pain he’s caused since the beginning of Faith’s life.
Adam will hope she’ll accept his kidney not as a gift or grand gesture, but as more of an apology since that’s what it is. “I can do that,” Faith will admit on Monday’s episode of The Young and the Restless.
Later, Adam and Faith will be prepped for surgery as Nikki heads off to get Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) some soup. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will join Nick in the waiting area and wonder how he managed to get Adam to agree to this.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Rey will inform Sharon that he intends to take Adam into custody after the surgery. He’ll ask if Sharon was hoping Rey would let Adam go.
Sharon will point out that she was the one who first told Adam to turn himself in and clear his name. She’ll only be surprised since Rey admitted to having doubts about Adam’s guilt.
Rey will argue that Adam is still the prime suspect as well as a flight risk. Sharon will wonder what happens after Adam’s in jail and Faith’s on the mend. “Do you even want to be my husband anymore? Is there any hope?”
Sharon will ask looking emotional and agitated. Rey will insist Sharon is exhausted, so he won’t think this is a conversation they need to be having right now.
Next on Monday’s Young and the Restless episode, Victor will call Rey and summon him to the ranch immediately. Rey will note that it’s not possible since he has to be there to arrest Adam following the surgery.
Victor won’t see what the hurry is since Rey won’t want to arrest an unconscious man. Rey will ask if Victor can at least tell him what this is about. Victor will suggest that something happened with Chelsea that’s going to change everything.
Y&R spoilers say Victor will offer a smug smile while Chelsea stands there glaring – clearly not happy about the mysterious deal she’s agreed to.
It sounds like Victor’s ultimatum will pay off for Adam, so don’t miss what’s ahead on The Young and the Restless! CDL will have other fantastic Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news for you, so make us your top Y&R source.
