The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, May 24, reveals that Amanda Sinclair (Karla Mosley) will face a missing child twist as she learns her dad made a request to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Meanwhile, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will meet Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez), so let’s talk about all the drama happening in Monday’s shocking show.
At Jabot, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will admit to Jack that when his affair with Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) ended, he didn’t know she was pregnant. After Kyle confirms Harrison is his son, he’ll admit he’s known for a couple months.
Kyle will add that Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) told him about his little boy. Jack will seem upset that Sally knew, but Kyle will point out that he denied his connection to Harrison.
After Kyle explains that he agreed to keep the truth a secret with Tara, Jack will wonder if Kyle was really going to let Harrison grow up without knowing his true father and family.
Kyle will insist that he didn’t want to blow up Harrison’s life, but now it’s happening anyway. He’ll explain why he intends to get a DNA test and claim paternity to help Tara.
Kyle will assure Jack that Summer Newman (Hunter King) knows and has been scared yet supportive.
Although Jack will worry about Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) retaliating, he’ll promise Kyle isn’t alone. Jack will offer up the Abbott house to Tara and Harrison, so Kyle will admit he wanted to ask Jack about that.
Jack will feel like Kyle has tried to handle this the best he could every step of the way, so he’ll be proud of him.
At Crimson Lights, Ashland will quiz Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) about her opinion of Kyle. Victoria will admit she doesn’t know Kyle very well, though she’ll call him smart, levelheaded and hardworking.
When Victoria asks if this is about business, Ashland will note that Kyle had an affair with his wife. It’ll lead Victoria to realize that’s the reason for Ashland’s divorce.
Next, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will show up at The Grand Phoenix looking for answers. Since Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) won’t want Nick to bother Summer, he’ll insist Phyllis had better spill.
After Phyllis offers updates on some of Tara’s latest situation, Nick will question whether more than nine months passed between the time the affair ended and when Harrison was born.
Phyllis will grimly shake her head no, so Nick will realize Harrison is Kyle’s kid. Although Nick will start ranting, Phyllis will warn him not to take his frustration out on Kyle or else he’ll alienate Summer.
Later, Nick will force Summer to have a conversation with him about this in her suite. Summer will be upset over Phyllis blabbing about Kyle’s son, but Nick will want to focus on Ashland’s revenge.
“Ashland Locke is going to want Kyle’s head on a platter!” Nick will insist. Summer will argue that she’s a package deal with Kyle and that she fully intends to stand by him.
Over with Kyle, he’ll assure Tara that she can come stay at the Abbott mansion with Harrison and his nanny. Tara will marvel over how different Kyle seems since their days in New York.
Afterward, Kyle will bring Tara up to speed on where everything is. Tara will gush over the beautiful home and meet Jack soon after. She’ll be grateful for his generosity, but Jack will think he’s going to enjoy the company.
Jack will ultimately meet Harrison and look like one proud grandpa! He’ll ask Harrison to be sure and make a lot of noise since they haven’t had kids in the house for so long.
Back with Ashland, he’ll find Phyllis at the hotel and push her to make a delivery to Tara – or else send someone else. Ashland will have orders from a judge to make Tara stop blocking access to his son.
On Monday’s Y&R episode, Phyllis will insist that Tara checked out and left no forwarding address. She’ll also make it clear that if Summer is harmed in any way by Ashland’s actions, then no judge, court or law will be able to protect him.
While Jack’s showing Tara and Harrison to their rooms, Kyle will get on the phone and arrange for someone to come collect DNA samples for a paternity test.
As for Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy), she’ll have confetti in her hair after celebrating the clinic’s one year anniversary. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will point it out when he sees Elena at Crimson Lights.
Since Elena will be a bit lonely with Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) out of town, Nate will take her out to dinner. They’ll share some nice moments afterward since they’ll be glad they didn’t give up on becoming doctors.
Nate will head off to get the cupcake that Elena promised she saved for him at the clinic – and Elena will seem wistful about what might’ve been.
At Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, Amanda will reveal that she has a preliminary interview scheduled with Victor regarding Sutton Ames’ (Jack Landron) case.
Amanda will suggest new info has come to light that could point to Victor’s involvement in what happened to Richard Nealon.
The legal team’s PI found Richard’s day planner, which documented dates and times that he met with Victor. There were two of meetings not long before Richard’s death.
Amanda will find it strange that a low-level accountant fresh out of college would be meeting with the CEO. She’ll think it had to have been about something important.
Amanda will add that for the two weeks leading up to Richard’s death, there was nothing about work in his planner and he collected no paychecks. She’ll think Richard was fired over what he uncovered.
Devon will worry about Amanda provoking Victor’s fury, but she’ll feel confident she can handle him.
Once Amanda meets with Victor and his attorney, she’ll record the conversation and show him a picture of Richard to jog his memory.
Victor will indeed recall meeting with that man once or twice – though he knew him by the name “Rick” and they didn’t discuss anything related to Sutton.
Amanda will be floored when Victor explains that Rick was looking for a missing child. He read about Victor being left on an orphanage doorstep when he was a boy and thought Victor might be able to use his connections to help.
Victor indeed helped Rick by giving him the phone number of a private detective he’d worked with before. He also promised Rick’s job would be waiting for him once he was done with his search.
Victor will realize Rick died before he could find anything. It’ll leave him somber about Rick’s son or daughter never knowing their dad was looking for them.
Amanda will get choked up and will later explain the news Victor offered when she reconvenes with Devon.
She’ll note that Victor only talked about one baby, so Richard apparently didn’t know there were twins. Amanda will mention that Victor said Richard was desperate to find his child.
After Amanda calls Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) to request an ASAP meeting, she’ll reflect on feeling the loss of her father more and more.
If Richard had found his daughters, then Amanda could’ve grown up with Hilary Curtis Hamilton (Mishael Morgan) and her dad.
“Whoever took his life stole the future that we all could’ve had together, and I am going to make damn sure that they answer for that,” Amanda will declare angrily.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Amanda will do her best to keep that promise, but there are more Y&R secrets to uncover! CDL will have lots of other great Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news to read up on, so check back often.
