The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, November 1, tease that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will break up while Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) join forces. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will also land in a tight spot, so here’s what Y&R viewers can look forward to.
Despite Nick’s efforts to talk things out with Phyllis on Friday, their issues will only get worse. In fact, it looks like Phyllis and Nick’s relationship will officially reach its breaking point in the aftermath on Monday.
Nick needs to know they’re in this together, but Phyllis won’t feel like they are anymore. Neither one of them is content in this romance, so even the superficial fun they used to have is gone. What’s left other than constant arguing and going around in circles?
Phyllis may argue that love just isn’t enough if they can’t truly accept the parts of each other they don’t like. The trust between Nick and Phyllis has also taken a hit, so their problems seem insurmountable now.
Phyllis may reiterate that there’s a reason they always end up falling apart. Since Nick and Phyllis aren’t going to change as people, how can they expect their reunions to turn out differently?
Phyllis and Nick are indeed on the verge of calling it quits, so it seems they’ll surrender and go their separate ways in Monday’s show.
Across town, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will open up to Jack about the latest Newman family drama, which obviously includes Nick.
Jack will really feel for the guy, but Nikki will call Jack’s attention to Nick’s tension with Phyllis. She’ll put Jack on the spot by asking how much he’s in the loop on, but Jack may not want to betray Phyllis’ confidence.
Even so, Nikki may sense that Jack would like to take Nick’s place in Phyllis’ heart.
Finally, Ashley will team up with Victor as they try to support Abby. Their daughter will be an emotional wreck over Chance Chancellor (soon-to-be Connor Floyd) being presumed dead in that bombing.
Abby will be torn between her head and her heart since the evidence says one thing while her instincts say another.
It’s clear that Abby’s going to need plenty of love around her, so Victor and Ashley will offer all they have to give. We’ll bring you updates as other Y&R news rolls in.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chance’s return will change everything when the time is right, but Abby will still have to suffer in the coming weeks.
