The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, November 1, reveals that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will face a photo scandal while Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) counsels a traumatized Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway).
At Crimson Lights on Monday’s Y&R episode, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will bump into Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and admit she’s worried about Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
Nikki will feel like the reality of Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) condition is going to hit eventually, so she’ll be dreading that day.
After Jack talks Nikki into having lunch with him, they’ll head to Society together. Meanwhile, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will show up at Society and spot Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) seated at a table.
Sally will wonder which one of Adam’s personalities she’s going to get today and will invite him to join her for lunch so she can find out.
Adam will admit that Sally would be a far more entertaining lunch date, but he’ll have a business meeting he can’t bail on.
Sally will guess this has something to do with Jesse Gaines (Jamison Jones) before talk turns to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).
When Sally asks when Chelsea might be coming back and if she’ll be coming on board at Newman Media, Adam won’t have answers for her. However, Adam will hope Chelsea can pick her life up again and move on.
In Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) suite, she’ll want to table her latest discussion with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Nick will offer to take Phyllis out to lunch since the brunch room service must be cold by now.
Once Nick and Phyllis make it to Society, Nick will scowl across the room at Adam and Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) PI. Phyllis won’t see why Nick should care what they’re scheming about. She’ll encourage Nick to let it go, but he’ll want to intervene before this becomes some big family crisis.
Phyllis will wish Nick would focus on their relationship a bit more, so he’ll surrender and decide they should head to another restaurant. On their way out, Phyllis and Nick will run into Jack and Nikki. When Nikki suggests they all have lunch together, Nick will decline.
Phyllis will override that decision by accepting the invitation, so that’ll bring a tense meal as Nick grumbles about the Gaines situation.
Jack will get updates on the behind-the-scenes wedding drama, but Nikki will argue that no drastic measures were taken to handle Gaines. She’ll claim Victor simply found some compromising info about Gaines and used it to make him leave Ashland alone.
Phyllis will contend they should be glad it wasn’t anything worse. She’ll ask what’s a little blackmail between friends and will feel like Jack should be glad he wasn’t dragged into anything. Nick will snap that Phyllis made her point, so Nikki and Jack will seem uncomfortable.
After Phyllis pretends to have a work emergency, she’ll leave in a hurry. While Jack’s on a work call, Nick will push Nikki to find out the truth about Gaines.
Nikki will want to stay out of it, but Nick will warn about the dangers of leaving Victoria’s future in Victor and Adam’s hands.
Once Nick takes off, Nikki will ask Jack how much he knows about the tension with Phyllis. Jack won’t think he should say much, but he’ll feel like they’ll figure out how to get past this bump in the road.
In The Grand Phoenix lobby, Nick will find Phyllis and note that he still owes her lunch. Phyllis won’t think Nick owes her anything and will admit she knew what she was signing up for when it came to his family’s history. She’ll add that it was worth it because she loved Nick, so Nick will confirm that “it was.”
“Who are we kidding? This isn’t gonna work,” Phyllis will insist as she launches their breakup discussion.
At Newman Media, Sally will reveal some news she just became privy to. She’ll show Adam that the National Inquisitor somehow got their hands on some photos from Tuscany that insinuate they’re “a thing.”
Moments later, Chelsea will call Adam’s phone. After Adam says that was fast, Sally will wish him luck and saunter out. Adam will then decide to ignore Chelsea’s call for the time being.
At the Chancellor mansion, Abby will crumble in Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) arms over Chance Chancellor’s (soon-to-be Connor Floyd) wedding ring. She’ll insist there must be some other explanation and will cry as Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) arrives.
While Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) take Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor for a walk, Ashley will urge Abby to scream or tear the room apart if that’s what she needs. Abby will insist what she needs is Chance.
After Sharon gets a text about Chance potentially being killed, she’ll show up willing to help Abby.
Sharon will assure Abby that they can talk or just sit together if she’d like. She’ll talk about Abby surviving other horrible losses, but Abby won’t know how she’s supposed to carry on without her husband.
While Victor makes a call and tries to get more help for Abby, Devon and Mariah will meet up with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) at the coffeehouse.
Tessa will suggest she can’t imagine what it’s like to have your whole world come crashing down like that. She’ll suddenly realize that might be insensitive to say around Devon, who felt that loss with Hilary Curtis Hamilton (Mishael Morgan).
Devon will assure Tessa that it’s fine, but he’ll confess he wouldn’t wish that feeling on anyone. He’ll talk about relying on the support of loved ones to get through his own grief and will hope Abby can do the same.
Devon will also hope Dominic can be a source of comfort, but Mariah will fret over how the trauma will affect Abby and the impact it’ll have on the baby. Tessa will think it was smart to reach out to Sharon and will trust that she’ll be helpful.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say there’s light at the end of the tunnel since Chance is actually alive, but Abby will struggle until that shocker hits.
