The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, November 8, reveals that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will forbid Abby Newman-Abbott-Locke’s (Melissa Ordway) trip to the explosion site – and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will face panic over abandoned Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor.
At the Chancellor mansion on Monday’s Y&R episode, Abby will surprise Devon, Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) and Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) with her cheerful demeanor.
Abby will grab some coffee and insist she’s going to book the Newman jet or fly commercial if she has to. She’ll vow to fly to Spain now that she knows where the safe house is and figure out what happened to her husband.
Christine will argue that’s the worst thing Abby could do. She’ll push Abby to trust the team of experienced operatives to get to the bottom of this, but Abby will feel like it’s taking too long for answers.
Abby will point out that Chance Chancellor (soon-to-be Connor Floyd) could be hurt and in hiding. She’ll refuse to give up on Chance since she still feels so connected to him.
Abby will mention that Chance faked his death years ago as part of an investigation. She even went to Chance’s funeral, so she won’t be so quick to believe he’s dead now.
Abby will feel like every fiber of her being is telling her that Chance is alive. She’ll think the people in Valencia would be more willing to talk to a concerned wife than an agent, so she’ll head upstairs to pack.
Devon will wonder what they should do to stop Abby from going, but Nina will suggest maybe they shouldn’t stop her at all. She’ll even think maybe she should join Abby and get closure, but Christine will insist Abby wouldn’t be doing this for the same reasons.
Devon will note Abby is walking into a risky situation and hasn’t mentioned Dominic’s name even once. Christine will agree that they can’t encourage Abby on this since it could put her family in jeopardy, including Dominic.
Nina will cry as she wonders if Abby could be right about Chance being in hiding, but Christine will argue that Chance is gone for good.
Later, Abby will bring her suitcase downstairs and decide maybe she shouldn’t make the trip alone. She’ll ask if Devon or Nina would be willing to fly with her, but Devon will insist this is reckless and that he can’t let her go.
“You can’t let me go look for my husband?!” an appalled Abby will reply. Although Nina will understand Abby’s perspective, she’ll back Devon up about it being a terrible idea.
In the park, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will thank Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) for being her running partner. She’ll quiz Noah about what drove him away from London, but he’ll simply suggest it’s a “love thing” and will add that he’ll get over it.
Afterward, Mariah will walk in on the confrontation at the Chancellor mansion. She’ll overhear Abby insisting that she’s flying to Valencia whether Devon and Nina come or not.
Abby will yell that they should stop trying to talk her out of it, but Mariah will pipe up to ask what this means for Dominic. She’ll seem fearful as she asks if she should move back in and stay with the baby.
At home, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will tell Billy that she wants no part of blackmailing Newman Media. She’ll later run into Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle) at Crimson Lights, but Victoria won’t want to get involved in the war.
Victoria will think Lily’s really upset about Billy being Billy and causing conflict in their relationship.
After Lily decides to go straight to the source, she’ll show up in Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) office. Lily will interrupt Adam’s meeting with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) to push for give minutes of his time.
When Lily tries to negotiate a cease-fire, Adam will insist it’s not happening.
Adam will act like this is just business and will offer Lily a job since they’re going to crush ChancComm, but she’ll laugh in his face. Even so, Adam will think it’d be in Lily’s best interest to think about a career move.
After Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) gets updates on the stress this vengeful plan is putting on Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi), she’ll track Adam down and chew him out for it.
Meanwhile, Billy will deliver supplies to Jesse Gaines’ (Jamison Jones) motel room, where they’ll establish that they don’t trust each other.
Billy will think they just need to take things one step at a time and will demand Camila Rhodes’ original letter. Back at ChancComm, Lily will reconvene with Billy and fill him in on striking out with both Victoria and Adam.
Lily will decide she’s on board with blackmail and will learn Billy now has the letter proving Camila Rhodes left Ashland nothing.
At Society, Chloe will remind Sally that the flirtation thing she’s got going with Adam won’t fly once Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) returns.
Although Chelsea may not want Adam herself, Chloe will know she definitely won’t want to see him with anyone else.
Sally will assure Chloe that her message has been received. Chloe will think that’s a relief since they have more important things to focus on – like protecting their assets in this ChancComm battle.
In Adam’s office again, Billy will march in and declare that he’s got Gaines hidden away.
Billy will also reveal that he has the proof to bury Ashland and Newman Media. Billy will warn that they’re going to cancel their plans to attack ChancComm or else he’ll bring them all down.
After Adam sits back in his chair, he’ll look awfully smug.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Billy and Adam’s hostility is about to get even worse, so stay tuned.
